The closest race at the moment is the one no one has been talking about.

Allan Fung and Ken Block are locked in a dead heat. 2 vote diff with 6% reporting.

Allan Fung (Declared) - Mayor of Cranston Ken Block (Declared) - Founder and former head of the Rhode Island Moderate Party

Gina Raimondo (Declared) - State Treasurer appears to be winning the dem nomination.

In NH, Scott Brown has been declared the winner with 23% reporting against 9 other candidates. Bob Smith is coming in THIRD.

Frank Guinta and Melinda Garcia are taking the republican house nominations.

Big upset in Massachusetts, Seth Moulton has taken out sitting congressman James Tiernery in the dem primary for house district 6. He will now face Richard Tisei.

S. Moulton 49.6% 5,886 J. Tierney (i) 41.4% 4,914 M. DeFranco 6.1% 724 J. Devine 2.2% 259 J. Gutta 0.8% 93

Surprised no primary thread for the last primaries of the season (not including Louisiana who essentially have a jungle primary on the general election day.

Following via various sources. Doing updates on the Howie Carr ping thread

Could indeed be the end of John Tierney here in MA-6th. Could be concession time if it holds (at Hawthorne Hotel Salem MA, his HQ...Tierney won his home precinct.

By 11 votes.)

Interesting to note that Gina Raimondo in the RI Dem Gov. race is leading Michelle Kwan’s husband Clay Pell who is Claiborne Pell grandson.

Allan Fung has taken the lead in the RI rep. race, but only 15,000 ballots casted (43%) in a state with a million people.

Pell always trailed in the polls, so no surprise. His getting an endorsement from the toxic Lincoln Chafee didn’t help, either.

Tierney may be done after 18 yrs in Salem ...gave what sounded like a hastily written concession speech that I heard on
Boston Herald Radio. (MA 6th)

NH Rep. Gov. 40% reporting called

Winner W. Havenstein 56.7% 24,887

A. Hemingway 36.9% 16,179

D. Greene 4.2% 1,852

J. Smolin 2.2% 948

Happy to see this result. Hemingway’s campaign staff was incompetent. They sent out an email asking for money. Never said what office or what state they were running in. Sent them a note pointing this out and asked them to take me off their list. Never got a response, but got more emails. Have no idea how I got on their list.

it is tough for GOP to win in Mass, but it would be a miracle if they won in a DEM primary

Allan Fung? Is he the owner of the Fung Wah bus that Howie Carr talks about?

Rhode Island Moderate Party? Is the Republican Party so Liberal they need a Moderate Party?

I don’t think he has a chance but anything is better than a Democrat.
