MH17 destroyed in instant by 'number of high-energy objects', says report

Malaysia Airlines flight 17 was destroyed in an instant when the cockpit and other parts of the fuselage were peppered by "a large number of high-energy objects," causing the plane to break apart over eastern Ukraine before anyone could raise an alarm, according to a preliminary report on the disaster which was released on Tuesday.

The report by the Dutch Safety Board (DSB), does not speculate on the origin or nature of objects, noting its investigators have not been able to visit the crash site because their security could not be guaranteed in the midst of the conflict between Ukrainian government and pro-Russian separatist forces.

The findings are consistent with US and Ukrainian assertions the Boeing 777, flying from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, was brought down by an anti-aircraft missile, which they say was provided by Russia. However, some air-to-air missiles also have fragmentation warheads which spray small shrapnel when they detonate close to a target.

The DSB report rules out other possible causes for the crash, which killed all 298 people on board, saying: "There are no indications that the MH17 crash was caused by a technical fault or by actions of the crew." It found that the shrapnel came from outside the plane and hit the cockpit above the level of the floor, implying it sheared through the space occupied by the pilots. The front parts of the plane broke away first, leaving the rest of the aircraft to fly on for some distance, with parts of the rear and centre ending up miles further east than the cockpit.

The US and Ukraine have accused separatists of shooting down the plane with a surface-to-air BUK missile, which explodes near its target, peppering it with high-velocity shrapnel. Moscow has denied the charge, pointing instead at the Ukrainian air force.

Rebel leaders have by turns admitted and denied possessing a BUK system.

“Sometimes I wonder if TWA 800 was a terrorist attack that the clinton admin covered up....”

I don’t know how they could have covered-up something of that magnitude, with so many people involved. That said, there were many serious questions never answered, others ignored in spite of contrary evidence, 200+ witnesses ignored completely, and numerous experts ignored and threatened.

If 9-11 had happened on BJ’s watch, they’d have found a way to push-off the blame on to anyone except the subhuman, murderous, blood-sopped, troglodyte-from-hell muzzie ghouls who did it.

Malaysia should immediately revoke all landing rights to any and all Russian origin aircraft , and cancel any flight routes they have to Russia

Actually, the Malaysian government has reserved judgement as to who shot down Mh17, something that doesn't get paid a lot of attention in the West. They've also accused the Ukraine junta of withholding evidence related to the incident. Given that the Ukrainian military has shot down civilian aircraft before by 'accident' and were operating BUK systems in the area near the crash, they should be considered a prime suspects in any serious attempt to get at the truth of what happened.

The rebels did it, by accident. They thought they had shot down another of Kiev's AN-26 transports (as they had done the previous Monday) and posted a boast to that effect on Facebook. Then they sent troops to the scene to round up any crew who might have bailed out (two bailed out the previous Monday). But they took down their boast when the troops on the ground sent back word that nobody had bailed out and the fields were strewn with dead bodies bearing foreign passports.

9-11 may not have had happened on BJ’s watch -— but it was his gross mishandling of Amerioca’s defense that led to it.

It was Gorelick’s “Wall” between intelligence agencies, IIRC, that contributed greatly to it, wasn’t it?

That’s how I remember it — and that the wall was created to thwart investigations into Clinton’s transfer of defense technology to Red China

A company named Loral and a schmuck named Schwartz, come back to mind. And a guy named Chung, too. I remember that the ChiComms couldn’t get a missile off the ground until after Loral provided the technology, and then all of a sudden, they’ve got payloads going into space. Even for a Farmer like me, it was pretty obvious.

The rebels did it, by accident.

Possibly... although the social media you've cited aren't convincing. Lots of people saw the airliner go down or heard the crash and its likely one or more of the rebel groups assumed it was their forces downing a military craft and posted the news.

It could also have been posted by a hacked user account controlled by a third party.

There are a couple of video accounts from people who saw military fighter jets in the vicinity of the airliner just before it went down and the Dutch report doesn't exclude the possibility that Mh17 was strafed with 30mm cannon fire.

Another possibility is that the Ukie military was engaged in a military exercise involving their newly deployed BUK systems and someone pushed the wrong button as happened in 2001...or it could have been a deliberate false flag attack.

Considering how little hard data has been presented by the West, I tend to think the Ukies did it.

C’mon just admit it: you think George Soros shot the jet down.

This one line doesn't make sense to me.

It found that the shrapnel came from outside the plane and hit the cockpit above the level of the floor, implying it sheared through the space occupied by the pilots.

Most SAMs explode below the aircraft from what I've heard.

This was a CR warhead fired basically head on at the plane.
It would be totally different than that illustration, imo.

Russia is moving a lot of BUK systems from Belarus toward their border with eastern Ukraine by rail.

Buk-M2E missiles

The ADMC uses 9M317 anti-aircraft-guided missiles (AAGMs) manufactured by Dolgoprudnenskoe Scientific Production Plant (DNPP). Each missile has a length of 5.5m, a wing span of 860mm and a weight of 710kg, and can carry up to 70kg high-explosive fragmentation warhead with radar proximity and contact fusing system. The missile is propelled by solid fuel propulsion system.

The plane was hit by BUK-shot. That’s what brought it down.

CR is a type of fragmentation warhead.

Little is actually known about the specific Russian warheads, and there are almost certainly lots of variations.
