If you have been busy enjoying this summer’s unseasonably cool weather across much of the nation, you may have missed the National Clean Energy Summit last week.
Sponsors of the one-day summit, held at the swanky Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in beautiful Las Vegas, Nev., included Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and the Center for American Progress, a leading liberal think tank.
One of the summit speakers, Nevada Rep. Dina Titus, equated global warming skeptics with members of the Flat Earth Society, EAGnews.org reports.

I wonder how many more years of cold weather have to happen until they finally give this up, and move on to another scare agenda.
Oddly enough, the Mandalay Bay was also the site of this year’s International Conference on Climate Change, the Heartland Institute conference on the topic. Mandalay Bay is in the hospitality business for customers regardless of their take on AGW. It’s a business.

This article was on the local talk radio today, plus other interesting topics. Most listeners called in and said this is bunk and should be treated as such.
There is a school district just outside Austin that is starting “meat free Mondays” at some campuses. They want the kids to learn that eating less meat is saving the planet and not harming animals or causing climate change.
One lady called in and said they left CA because of the thinking there. She said the newer residents have brought this thinking with them. She said there are a lot of people moving in from Kalifornika (I think she must be a FReeper or lurker) and are messing up the district.
