If you have been busy enjoying this summer’s unseasonably cool weather across much of the nation, you may have missed the National Clean Energy Summit last week.
Sponsors of the one-day summit, held at the swanky Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in beautiful Las Vegas, Nev., included Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and the Center for American Progress, a leading liberal think tank.
One of the summit speakers, Nevada Rep. Dina Titus, equated global warming skeptics with members of the Flat Earth Society, EAGnews.org reports.

We go to the North Bay Science Fair every year, and every year there are global climate change booths. Every year my home schooler asks what the percentage of the various atmospheric gases are. Never has she had an answer. Can they calculate what any percentage increase is on .0397% of really is?

Common Core was supposed to be the vehicle by which all the “preferred” cultural values were to be transmitted. Almost universally condemned by anyone who has actually READ the curriculum, mostly this “guideline” is concerned not with imparting good useful knowledge abut how to engage the world, but with making sure the kids are properly prepared to accept the world as it is thrust into their hands.
Because someday all the old “liberal” fossils will die out, and there must always be a new generation dedicated to the principle (if there is such a thing) of “Gimme now, and gimme a lot!”
