We’re missing a good bet by not going after the all important sex pervert demographic.

values of faith and family we share

Well, let's not let a little thing like homosexuality come between them and their god.

Little "g" on purpose, cause "BIG G" has already made his feelings known on the matter with the original flamers in Sodom and Gomorrah.

Marriage is a religious sacrament

It was until big government and the feminists ruined it. Marriage licenses (issued by the state) are a THREE party contract between you, your spouse and the STATE.

Tell that to Thomas Jefferson and the Continental Congress.

No one is stopping you pal. Go find a lady who wants to be your wife and you can marry her. Equality for all.

good point, he has the same rights as us.

We can marry the opposite sex like they , we can’t marry the same sex just like them.

He is protected under the equal protections regardless of what activist judges say, we all have the same rights. So let him find a nice woman and marry.

I believe that MA and other north east states allow for his sham so why not move there then instead of being a drama queen.

if they wanted marriage then they would move to a state which give them their sham.
I will even give some money for him to move out of GA and the south

Hetero marriages are unstable and fail 50% of the time [tho homo marriages fail at a worse rate].

Were society not currently configured to indulge sex outside of marriage and the shirking of responsibility, this might not be the case.

What was the divorce rate in the 1930s? Much damage to the social structure was one of the results of World War II.

“...we can’t marry the same sex just like them.”

They can’t marry the same sex.

They can engage in a contemporary social fraud, yet another form of self-delusion, calling it “marriage” and even gaining the sanction of some mentally defective judge somewhere.

But that is not marriage.

It’s a joke - and a rather pathetic joke, at that.

Guess he never heard of what God said.

Genesis 1

English Standard Version (ESV)

26 Then God said, “Let us make man[h] in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

27 So God created man in his own image,
    in the image of God he created him;
male and female he created them.

28 And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” 29 And God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit. You shall have them for food. 30 And to every beast of the earth and to every bird of the heavens and to everything that creeps on the earth, everything that has the breath of life, I have given every green plant for food.” And it was so. 31 And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.

I find the arguments, both those in favor and those opposed to be weak. They tend to be, as is this one, focused on personal rights and responsibility and the duty of government to support their personal beliefs and desires. I reject these arguments. Marriage, in both religious and government context, exists to endorse an institution responsible for child rearing to the general benefit of society. All of the rules of marriage have traditionally served to promote the nuclear family, protect children and mothers, and bind men to their family responsibilities. It was about imposing behavioral standards so that society could grow and prosper. Marriage was and is the antithesis of selfishness.

Homosexual marriage is about nothing but selfishness. They want free stuff and they want the government to make them happy. Even children are in the equation to make the loving homosexual couple feel good, the children be damned. Homosexuals are almost exclusively dual income households. Why do they need the subsidies and tax advantages associated with marriage? Laws of civil partnership can accommodate whatever property and legal considerations might be required. It’s not by accident that this movement took off because homosexuals who had infected themselves with HIV and could not work needed someone’s health insurance to undo the damage of their selfish behavior. It’s about free stuff. They insist that the government force employers to host their “weddings” and bake their cakes. They demand the adoration of the public at the point of the government bayonet. It’s demanding that the government make them happy.

This guy is no conservative. He’s a self absorbed little twit who thinks that the only obstacle to his complete happiness is the failure of his daddy government to give him what he wants. Either way, he is going to be very disappointed at the result.

“And this Sunday, as those before it, we’ll be in the pews of the same evangelical church we’ve quietly attended for years.”

Guess they need to find a real evangelical church - one where the word “repent” is sometimes heard!

So, Richardson was a liar for hire for Haley "Boss Hogg" Barbour. Didn't it also always seem that Huntsman was a bit less of a manly fellow than might have been expected of a Itah governor?

Small wonder that the Atlanta Urinal & Constipation would be promoting Ms. Richardson.

Yet in spite of its blemishes, my would-be groom and I are deeply committed to our community, one whose values of faith and family we share.

What FAITH is this?

What values of "family" as an institution?

To listen to the gay judges tell it, the whole 'marriage' fiasco is about making the children trapped in this madness feel good about their weirdo living arrangements.

Laws of civil partnership can accommodate whatever property and legal considerations might be required

...not really...estate inheritance taxes apply to non-spouse beneficiaries...which is what really kicked the drive for homo marriage to ramp up...

...since homosexuals tend to be well off, an estate may be significant, and the state tax rate on a beneficiary who is unrelated may well be in the double digits...

...a beneficiary in the position of ‘other heir’ in Pennsylvania will pay 15%, so on a million dollar estate we’re looking at 150k...
