Basil, I hope you’re doing better. I saw the encouraging update at post 98, so I know you’ll get back to normal soon. You’ve got my best wishes for a full recovery.

That’s one feisty lady, and I *officially* love her! :) I’m glad to hear that she’s on the mend.
My 85 year-old stepfather suffered a broken hip after a fall and he had the same emotional response- very confused and lots of crying. I have since learned that this is not an unusual response to a traumatic injury, especially in the case of an older person.
Prayers for your Mom and for you, pesto. I hope that she continues to heal and that she’s back home quickly.

They had to give her something to make her rest. She's healing physically from the surgery but agitated mentally. Hopefully this will change with sleep and time. She'll be in the hospital for a few days then to a rehab facility in Lakeway where she have speech/physical/and OT's.

Hey everyone - I just talked to Basil a little while ago. Considering the circumstances, she sounded pretty good. Tired but “with it”.....Thank you God. I told her about this thread and about how many people were praying for her and she wants you all to know how grateful she is. It must be working! Thank you.
Friday Update....
Here’s another update from pesto, basil’s daughter:
