On August 28 "a man trying to rob" an Albuquerque, New Mexico, Dairy Queen was shot and killed by an armed employee.
According to the Albuquerque Journal, a Bernalillo County Sheriff's Office (BCSO) spokesman said the would-be robber "went to the Dairy Queen window with a gun and demanded money." A store employee handed money to the suspect, after which the suspect continued pointing the gun and "asked for more money." That is when a different employee one who was armed stepped up shot the suspect.

Whack’em and stack’em.
I love a story with a happy ending.
Sounds like the perp was so trained on the employee he was aiming at that he didn’t even see the armed employee in his periphery.
The firer had no obligation whatsoever to warn the perp.
Bang, bang, you’re dead. So long, @zzhole!
That’s one less.
Oh no...all lies. He had his hands up and was offering his wallet to the cashier. Al Sharpton!!!!!!!!
oh how awful...
Were they able to get the blood off the money ???
When I was stationed at Grand Forks AFB there was a DQ just outside of the main gate in Emerado. It was always a bummer when they closed for the winter.
During the summers, when we were driving back from an Alert at Alpha Zero we would often stop at the DQ in Langdon if the change-over was late. We sure hated it when they closed for the winter.

ALBUQUERQUE -- The Bernalillo County Sheriff's Department released the identity of the 26-year-old suspect killed during an attempted robbery at a Dairy Queen on Thursday night.
Abran Gallegos was shot multiple times by an employee at the South Valley restaurant, according to BCSO. Gallegos reportedly demanded money from an employee when another worker opened fire on him.
BCSO says Gallegos has an extensive criminal history that includes a 2009 car theft arrest, battery on a peace officer and several probation violation charges.
The Dairy Queen is a longtime neighborhood attraction for families, and was shuttered all day Friday.
Across the road at Lollie's Restaurant, customers talked quietly about the shooting, and Lollie herself said she is deeply worried about her community.
"People are wanting to carry a gun or keeping a gun in their house or their business," she said. "It's sad and scary, but that's the reality. My most concern of everything are the people across the street that went through this."
A man at Lollie's said the community was shaken up after the shooting.
"They're going to have to go through a lot of healing, and I think our whole community is," the man said. "This is not the norm that people assume for our community in the South Valley it's just not."
Dead perp.
Yo, vato, via con Diablo.
WHAT! Crime in the south valley? LOL! Been like that since I lived there in the early to late ‘60’s.
He’s a dreamer.
Is the rap name Djinn L. Giant taken yet?

But now he's a sleeper.
Why do some people make such obvious poor choices...very obvious poor choices.
Had this fella ever heard of a robbery going south.....ever?
“ABQ PD wont like this competition one bit. Gunning down half the population is their job.”
Maybe the cops will offer him a job.
if I ran the news media I would have started writing these articles sarcastically by now.
Albuquerque - Budding rap star robs Dairy Queen through drive up window, then asks for “Mo Money”, but was iced by another employee.
Looks like the DQ worker is due a higher-level public service award.
Was the perp a gentle giant???
I used go to the DQ on Main Street in East Hartford... after eating at Augie and Ray’s...
Been to both, good food. The later I know the folks there.
I think the racist element in Al Sharpton wants to know what color was the guy with the gun, and what color was the guy that was shot. This has a LOT to do with JUSTICE.
