Media Activism: Desperate to frame the shooting death of Michael Brown in racial terms, CNN has bitten hard on what appears to be faked evidence. The network did the same thing during the Trayvon Martin case.
A sketchy audiotape CNN breathlessly claimed could be a game changer in the shooting turns out to be as credible as the bogus audio it hyped of George Zimmerman muttering a racial slur.
The network spent the better part of last week pushing the "exclusive" story that a tape it obtained records Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson firing 10 shots at Brown in two volleys.

Rally in Ferguson held 3 weeks after Brown’s death; attendees say movement just beginning
Published August 30, 2014
Associated Press
FERGUSON, Mo. A few hundred people are gathering again in Ferguson to remember Michael Brown and draw attention to what they say is just the beginning of a movement.
Saturday’s rally is being held at West Florissant Avenue where it meets Canfield Drive, the street on which the unarmed black 18-year-old was shot and killed Aug. 9 by white Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson.
People are wearing shirts and carrying signs with slogans such as “hands up, don’t shoot,” and “we want justice.”
St. Louis attorney Jerryl Christmas says the rally is meant to keep Brown’s death “in the forefront of America.”
There is a muted police presence. Missouri Highway Patrol Capt. Ron Johnson, who’s been in charge of security for more than two weeks, is posing for selfies with rally attendees.
Nothing ever changes. Expecting the media to act responsibly is like expecting your dog to refrain from eating the steak off your plate when you're out of the dining room.
CNN hasn’t fessed up.
They’re still “trying to authenticate” the audio.
Pants up, don’t loot!

LOL!
The unidentified source for the tape is Dan Rather. He and some of his friends at “The Walter Cronkite Home For Old Lying Bastards” made it in their “Audio Shop” class which meets every other week. That explains the delay in it getting to CNN.
Who can afford steak anymore? But I get your point.
As I understand it, the audio was perfectly genuine. Their interpretation of it as containing a racial slur is what was bogus.
If we are talking about the same Zimmerman audio, the audio was genuine, but deliberately edited to make it look like Zimmerman brought up the fact that Martin was black.
Actual audio:
Zimmerman: This guy looks like hes up to no good. Or hes on drugs or something. Its raining and hes just walking around, looking about.
Dispatcher: OK, and this guy is he black, white or Hispanic?
Zimmerman: He looks black.
What NBC aired. Notice that the Dispatcher's question has been cut out:
Zimmerman: This guy looks like hes up to no good. He looks black.
Yeah baby!
By the way, why is the fact that the actual interests of the Black residents in Ferguson is the same as the White, not getting more media attention. Officer Wilson would have been derelict had he not confronted a totally out-of-control youth, creating a clear danger to himself & others, walking down the middle of a reasonably busy street. The situation was not, apparently, going to resolve itself, without police intervention.

CNN, apparently, repeatedly played a claim that George used a "racial slur" when he (supposedly) said, somewhat mumbling under his breath, "F*****n coons."
Leaving aside the fairly obvious point that this would be an extremely obscure and uncommon slur, the general consensus eventually became that what he had really said was, "F*****g cold."
This is what happens when gays like Lemmon and Anderson have becomes their news anchors. Every group is a victim.
“Their interpretation of it as containing a racial slur is what was bogus. “
I had nothing to do with it!
If it's a weapon produced in the last 100 years, the answer is none.
Someone needs to inform these morons their 15 minutes are up. Useful fools have served their purpose for the evil media.
Thanks for the reply. I was not aware of that CNN story. But I am not surprised by it.
