U.S. Officials Won’t Call Russia’s Invasion Of Ukraine An “Invasion”

Whatever you do, don’t call it an invasion.

U.S. officials are refusing to call Russia’s ongoing invasion of Ukraine this week an invasion, and the issue is not on the agenda for Thursday’s National Security Council meeting.

“Today the president is meeting with his National Security Council to discuss the situation in Iraq and Syria, our ongoing efforts to support the Iraqi government, and our efforts to counter the threat posed by ISIL,” a White House official said on Thursday when asked if the situation in Ukraine would also be a part of the meeting. “You should not expect that we’ll have new decisions to announce on these issues today.”

The meeting will include heads of intelligence agencies, Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel, Vice President Joe Biden, and Secretary of State John Kerry, the three of whom plan to join remotely. The meeting is expected to include discussion of whether or not the U.S. will carry out strikes against the Islamist terrorist organization ISIS inside Syria.

Russian combat troops are currently inside southeastern Ukraine. NATO released satellite imagery showing this on Thursday. “The satellite images released today provide additional evidence that Russian combat soldiers, equipped with sophisticated heavy weaponry, are operating inside Ukraine’s sovereign territory,” NATO Brigadier General Nico Tak said. Despite this, no one seems to want to call what is going on in Ukraine an invasion.

The word “Invasion” is reserved for only dire circumstances where crimes against humanity are occurring. According to the Regime, this would be mainly by Israel in disproportionate against poor innocent palies.

I tend to think Obama’s FSB file somehow got “leaked” to him.

I tend to believe that too.

The Obama Administration (LOL) has already negotiated away The Crimea to Putin in a series of talks that took place in Finland many months ago. Little late to be worrying about Putin's idea of borders now, ain't it?

Probably not a good time to have a no-show gay disbarred Muslim druggie wannabe golfer as President. The Christian-Killer SOB ought to resign. Yes, Biden would be better.

The White House is more concerned about Christians, military veterans, NRA members, and other bitter clingers who oppose socialism. The Russians lived with socialism for generations; why would our Dear Leader object to anything they might do where there are people Obama sees as real threats right here in the USA?

If Jesus showed up an hour ago...

If Jesus showed up an hour ago Obama would wonder who the bearded stranger was.

“sounds like invasion to me”

It’s really just the normal workings of an enhanced exploratory committee

Tough to whine about illegal border crossings in Ukraine, when you are promoting it at home.

Obama's "whining" about the Russian invasion? Please share a link, or a RT tweet, or something?

Russian UN rep says the Russian troops in Ukraine are a response to Kiev. Blaming them for banning dissent and other hypocritical statements. Pretending that Kiev doesn’t want peace... lol

The Kremlin probably pays a bonus for every mention of "Nuland," "Soros," "McCain," "NATO/EU," and "Right Sector."

Special consideration given for photos that clutter-up the thread, and changing the subject.

Did we ever declare an end to our “police action” in Korea?

Of course they won't because doing so would obviously require Osama Obama to leave the golf course.

Word is all the troops involved are officially on vacation, engaged in voluntary activities.
