The mayor of Lynn, Mass. says that some of the illegal aliens from Guatemala who are enrolled in her citys public schools are adults with graying hair and more wrinkles than I have.
They are not all children, Judith Flanagan Kennedy told reporters at a press conference at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday.
One of the things that we did notice when we were processing some of these students coming in was that they were adults, she said.
She added that the federal government will not allow school officials to verify their ages even though one of the students turned out to be 35 years old.
For example, if a student does not show up for a few days of classes, we will send our truant officers out to find out whats going on at that home, Kennedy explained.
One example: the woman who answered [the] door said, Hes 35 years old -- hes not going to show up at school....But we cannot, per DOJ guidelines, we cannot ask them for any more verification of age, Kennedy said.
It does become very frustrating, she added.

There’s STUPID for you.
Someone needs to ask the libs this question:
How many “Undocumented Adult Pedophiles” are in our schools and are they molesting the kids that Citizen Molesters will not molest?
They are not all children”
Well, Duh...
Obama's Kids
Because that just might be considered age discrimination.
Insanity. Complete insanity.
Probably get free breakfast and lunch at school.
“DOJ guidelines”
There’s enough material in there to keep a stand up comedian going for a few years.
“Yo, Mama. Look, I got an award today at school for having the biggest “thing” of all the fifth grade boys.”
“That’s nice, Jorge, but you’re thirty five years old.”
Pedophiles?....................
Sadly, local government officials unsurprisingly do not seem to understand that the states have never delegated to the feds, expressly via the Constitution, the specific power to decide policy for intrastate schools.
As a side note concerning the federal government's constitutionally limited powers, please consider the following. The states would sure be a dull, boring place to grow up and live in if parents were to make sure that their children were taught about the federal government's constitutionally limited powers as the Founding States had intended for those powers to be understood. /sarc
Thomas Jefferson had put it this way:
Cherish, therefore, the spirit of our people, and keep alive their attention. If once they become inattentive to the public affairs, you and I, and Congress and Assemblies, judges and governors, shall all become wolves [emphasis added]. It seems to be the law of our general nature. - Thomas Jefferson (Letter to Edward Carrington January 16, 1787)
In fact, forget about traditional salesman / sucker cliches like "buying the Brooklyn Bridge." Voters now have to deal with the problem that they have foolishly traded their votes for constitutionally nonexistent rights, federal spending programs and restrictive federal regulations which are likewise based on constitutionally nonexistant federal government powers.
The are UNACCOMPANIED CHILDREN!
Love when the hometown makes it on to FR.
Mayor Kennedy is a Republican(RINO) in a heavily Democratic city. She does an OK job.

The Founding Fathers. They knew that a nation NOT governed by HONORABLE and God Fearing men would collapse. They provided the blueprint for success. We have failed to provide the honorable and god fearing men to follow it. Our bad!
Principal: What’s that in your lunchbox, Jose?
Jose: A Cerveza.
Principal: Hmmm.....Dos Equis?
Jose: Si.
Principal: Good choice...................
STUPID? The feds know exactly what they’re doing. It’s MALICIOUS.
Can I keep my walker in the bike rack?
Must I give my Metamucil and Depends to the school nurse?
Gee, isn’t Lynn one of the “sanctuary” cities for crimaliens?
