Sen. Rand Paul calls Hillary Clinton a ‘war hawk’ (rly?)

Calling Hillary Rodham Clinton “a war hawk,” Sen. Rand Paul says that if the former secretary of state seeks the presidency, some voters will worry that she will get the U.S. involved in another Mideast war.

Paul is a leading anti-interventionist in the GOP and is considering running for president. Last year he opposed President Barack Obama’s call for military action in Syria. […]

“I think that’s what scares the Democrats the most, is that in a general election, were I to run, there’s gonna be a lot of independents and even some Democrats who say, ‘You know what? We are tired of war,’” Paul said. “We’re worried that Hillary Clinton will get us involved in another Middle Eastern war, because she's so gung-ho.” …

Awesome. It’s time the Dems are exposed as the party of endless war.

More like fight wars half-heartedly, declare victory and then run away. And repeat the cycle. All with the purpose of wearing out the military.

It’s awesome for people to think of Hillary as pro military, someone who will take care of the military and use it? Seriously. You think Rand is awesome here?

LOL

Hitlery? A War-Hawk? Hardly.
She would wage war on our enemies as aggressively as she protected our CITIZENS in Benghazi.

Paul changes colors as fast as a chameleon.

Nope, it's awesome that people will see Hillary as someone who uses the military as nation builders and interventionists, who'll fight more bankrupting wars of choice.

I guess there's those that think the Iraq War was worth being stuck with Obama for 8 years, and those of us that don't think it was worth it.

Maybe the Republican party will adopt the mindset that American soldiers should defend America, and not do the dirty work that other countries should be doing themselves.

Funny that you think being a warmonger is "pro-military". Haha.

If anything, this is a resume enhancer. It delivers the exact message Hillary wants out there at precisely the time she is claiming support for Israel and other views that make her look presidential.

Hillary just threw her coat over a rain puddle, and Rand Paul tried to walk over it right into a 10 foot deep hole.

Rand will never turn the Left against Hillary, so why pull this B.S.? However there will be plenty in the middle trying to make up their mind, and this comment of Rand’s will come back to haunt us.

I wouldn’t be surprised if this quote winds up on Hillary signs at some point.

What a moron.

How many people on the Left will jump ship and vote for a Republican because of this statement by Paul? Any guesses?

How many people in the middle evaluating two candidates and worried about the military question, will be persuaded by Paul that Hillary indeed is a person who will use the military, and will abandon the person on the Right because of it?

It will be considered a wash, because Rand just said Hillary will not be afraid to use the Military.

Right: 0
Left: 1

Rand has all the political savvy of the campaign manager of the 3rd grade student who just lost a student body election.

I hate war, that being said, I want the best equipped and trained military on the planet. Will Rand be locked into this stance if he really needs to use it?

Yes, well I’ll take my lumps for being called a warmonger.

You can take them for thinking we shouldn’t have taken any military action at all after 09/11/01.

Just give the terrorists a free pass, because God forbid you should be called a warmonger.

If the ISIS/ISIL campaign in the Middle-East is successful, it will be in large part because the United States stayed out of it. And it will have stayed out of it because Obama, Jimmy Carter, Richard Gere, Rand Paul, and folks like you would rather see a massive Islamic Caliphate in the Middle-East than squash the movement like a bug up front.

I have to give Rand credit for this one. First of all, I cannot believe, once more, that freepers allow the AP to publish content perhaps out of context.

Rand is not Ron. This administration has been very inconsistent with foreign policy and he has a right raise questions about HRC.

A month before the bombing the Libya, the HRC State Department wanted to give $1.7 million for improvements to the Libyan Air Force and for Border security.

Hitlery? A War-Hawk? Hardly.

It is very odd, but Hillary has a very hawkish reputation among many libs and ultra-libs. Some of that can be traced back to her "yes" vote on the Iraq invasion when she was a senator.

Her so-called hawkish stance is one reason the ultra-libs are rallying around Elizabeth Warren. They libs cannot see that Hillary is not a hawk, but a pure opportunist.
