Used to buy like 30 count tubs of beef tamales from an olTexan gal in Lake Tawokoni for like $15

She had a roadside stand.

Always had the Cowboys game on.

Those were the best I ever had.
Beef and spicy, but still weak for my plate.

I got adventurous a while back and tried cooking some chorizo sausage. In the red wrapper? Holy guacamole ...

The smell was so bad I thought I was gonna be sick. It smelled like road kill. The dogs wouldn’t eat it, so I scraped it into the garbage pail.

Do not use that tubed crap in the grocery.

It is pigs lips and arse holes.

Get the fresh ground stuff at the carniceria.

“Jeepus? Vegetable oil?”

It was authentic mexicans cooking their food their way.

Cool — I’ve never scraped a hog before. Maybe one of these days.

Sorry to be off topic but a couple of ounces of coke is the least of the worlds troubles.

I’m thankful there are no carnicerias, bodegas or any real Spanish graffiti defacing buildings in my town, yet, or significant crime .
I had some good stuff in San Diego years ago, but I’m like the hillbilly offered a fruit he had never tried, a banana:
“No thanks. I got plenty of other wants I can’t fill, and I can live with them.”
Again, I can’t eat the stuff unless it’s hot, and the hotter it is, the more it smells. Lo siento.

Build a big ol wood fire under a cast iron bath tub, dunk em in lettem poach an then scrape off the hair.

Comes off like nuthin.

When its clean you can split it.

“Mexicans use pork lard. Not Veg oil.”

The ones I’ve encountered use stinking rancid vegetable oil. Are you really prepared to say that no mexicans use vegitable oil?

Speaking of “spicy tamales,” did you see the allied article about the Colombian woman who was arrested for having cocaine breast implants?
