That narrative f*cking sucks. Abortion is common. Abortion is normal. And abortion is safest when it is legal and accessiblesomething abortion funds help to ensure in an increasingly hostile political climate. Theres nothing shameful about having an abortion, and nothing shameful about funding abortion. Its so not-shameful, in fact, that you can be the kind of regular ol human being who eats a taco or drinks a beer and funds abortion.
Horrible and absolutely disgusting. Encouraging people to have a taco and drink to a beer and then proceed to donate money so an unborn child is killed? Evil. These people will stuff their faces and laugh about sticking it to the pro-life crowd, and meanwhile, in a room in a clinic somewhere, an unborn child will be suctioned in pieces out of what should be the safest place in the world - his/her own mother's womb. It's easy to drink beer and eat tacos when you don't have to see it, when you aren't the one it is happening to.
I saw that Newsweak did an article about this as that is where I was linked to this.
Even sadder are some of the comments like this one:
I put this front and center on my blog. What a hoot. What a way to raise money for women in need of assistance. What a great way to stick it to the fetus freaks. They are quite annoyed.
A dedicated pro-lifer showed up and got into a long argument with the abortion freaks.

I think I'm already funding abortion. It's called Obamacare.
Oh, I'm funding euthanasia also. This 21st century really rocks. [/s]

Abortion is common. So is child abuse. Doesn't make it right.

Mm-hm, be a “regular ol’ human being” and have a beer and taco to support abortion so that somebody else will never become a a “regular ol’ human being” and have a beer and taco.
These people have such a severe disconnect.

Because abortion stigma is real, I know it can be hard to make that first abortion fund donation. Its one thing to support abortion in theory, and a whole other thing to actually help pay for someone elsesa total strangers, most likelyabortion. Theres a strong cultural narrative that tells us people who get abortions are bad, irresponsible, or cruel. That they are undeserving of care and understanding. That they are confused or heartless. This paragraph is rather ironic, first pointing out that abortion carries a stigma, and then listing the very reasons *why* it carries the stigma. As long as abortion continues to be the snuffing of a human life by those who can't be bothered to exercise a little responsibility, it will continue to carry a stigma.
Little miss Andrea, I wonder if you are aware that the hundreds of dollars spent killing *one* innocent baby is enough to pay for contraceptives to prevent human lives for years? For example, $400 wasted an murdering one baby could pay for 3 years of "the pill" (at $9 per month). A little responsibility goes a long way.
P.S. Andrea, I sincerely hope that your abortions leave you unable to conceive, sooner rather than later. A woman who can kill so easily cannot be a fit mother, and no child deserves to be raised by such a ghoul.
