Meet the Woman Who Could Fire Harry Reid
Senate Conservative Fund: Senate Update | August 22, 2014 | Ken Cuccinnelli

Posted on 08/22/2014 9:20:40 PM PDT by Din Maker

I was just in Des Moines, Iowa to speak at the Family Leadership Summit and I wanted to give you a report of the U.S. Senate race there.

It's one of the most competitive races in the country and it could determine whether the Democrats continue to control the Senate.

The liberal allies are on the air right now attacking Joni Ernst (R-IA) with negative, dishonest TV ads. The ads claim that Joni supports shipping jobs overseas because she signed a pledge not to raise taxes. It's completely bogus. Higher taxes chase investment out of our country, not the other way around. Even the left-leaning Politifact rated these attacks as "False."

This race is very close. A new Rasmussen poll shows it tied 43-43. The Democrats are attacking her for two simple reasons.

First, they know this race could determine who controls the Senate. Republicans need to flip 6 seats to win the Senate. The polling right now says they will pick up exactly 6 seats. But if they lose any of these races or if Senator Mitch McConnell loses in Kentucky, then the Senate would be 50-50 with Vice President Joe Biden casting tie-breaking votes.

As a state senator, she supported the largest tax cut in Iowa history, fought to limit government, and cut job-killing red tape. She has an "A" rating from the NRA, Iowa Right to Life has endorsed her, as has Sarah Palin.

As a Lt. Colonel in the Iowa National Guard, she commanded the largest battalion in Iowa. In 2003, she served as a company commander during Operation Iraqi Freedom. She knows the face of evil and, unlike Obama, she won't waver to protect America.

As a mother, she knows that our pro-life and pro-marriage values are under attack by runaway courts where judges legislate from the bench. She could keep Obama's radical nominees from being confirmed.

This is why Joni Ernst poses such a threat to the Democrats. If she wins, she could be the candidate who fires Harry Reid.

Did anyone, besides me, think it strange that Ken would say that? I mean, he specifically singled out Mitch McConnell as a possible "lost seat" for the GOP this year. Hmmmmmmmmm.....

The system is rigged and you don’t even have to pay much attention to see it anymore...

From your picture, it would seem that she has at least one additional “hog” to “castrate.”

I’m not sure what you mean by your Comment. I’d appreciate a little explanation. Are you saying that the Election will be rigged in such a way that McConnell will lose?

I’m not sure Harry Reid has anything to be castrated.

Not specifics. I meant the administration will rig the deck so that the results aligns with their needs. I do believe they control the electronic vote and can manipulate it to their advantage as needed.

I think GOP can lose McConnell and still gain control of the Senate, but they need to address Mississippi and purge the a-holes inside their ranks that think conservatives and tea party folk are the enemy.

I agree with both of your points. If about 100,000 KY Conservatives/Tea Partiers (those folks McConnell hates and vowed to “crush”) stay home on Election Day, or just skip the Senate race on the ballot; put a fork in McConnell; he’s done. Guys like McConnell, Thad Cochran and Lindsey Graham, remind me of a thug husband who beats his wife on a regular basis but tells her he’s sorry when he wants sex.

Meet the woman that Hairy Reed can have murdered and buried in the eastern desert of Nevada. Hopefully she is clean, articulate, and speaks with the negro dialect Hairy demands.

The question is: if the GOP get the Senate at 51 - 49(or 50 - 50), which of the RINOS will flip to keep the Rats afloat?

Aye, you have been reading my post again laddie :-)..

I am so cynical I expect it to go 51 - 49 in Reid's favor or 50 - 50 with McConnell loosing and we get a woose like Linsey as Majority Leader and they go for a power sharing arrangement.

IMHO this next Senate will be even a bigger Facacta Carnival that it is now, especially after so many Tea Party type candidates did not make it to the final rounds ( thank you E-GOP, Chamber of Commerce, K-Street, Carl Rove and the rest of you establishmentarians with your snoot in the trough ).

He maybe playing the the base of that fund raising org who IMHO as a group are not fond of Mitch and probably see that hand writing on the wall. IMHO Thad doesn’t make it either, given I think a Libertarian entered the race their if my memory is correct ( or is that in Kentucky?) and we don’t know if McDaniel gets Thad thrown off the ticket at the last minute.....
