Rush jumped the shark many moons ago and exposed himself as an elite who embraced the homosexual lifestyle choice. Add his arrogance of his audience assuming they are dumb and stupid and need his news reports.
Frankly, I learn sooner and more about issues before he pontificates...usually “borrowing” from freeper comments.
I think that the actual word is facism, but the word has been so overused by the left that it’s lost all meaning.
Many of these come from families which have been on welfare for generations. They also have zero work skills, no work ethic - unless you consider doing crime and dealing drugs as "work" and not lazy exploitation of their fellow man. Many are almost completely unemployable because of their Gibsmedat attitudes and low levels of any redeeming personal attributes such as a desire for any hard work, morality, thrift, personal discipline, or education. Nobody except other lowest low-lifers would want to be around any of them much less hire them to do a real job.
Maybe if their government welfare benefits were completely stopped some might try a job if it were readily available and they felt they had no other choice. But most would simply turn to crime as it is the easiest road to survival without having to do genuine work for a living like all the other "suckers". Starving or going without isn't an option for them but stealing is.
We have tens of millions of unemployable people in this country thanks to our welfare state policies. The accompanying bad attitudes have taken deep root and thrive in such a toxic culture of sloth and failure. Liberal politicians have instituted this over the years for political exploitation of these now thoroughly wrecked people who are almost hopelessly crippled if not in body but in spirit.
So you were like that Troy Donahue movie, Parish? I saw it 30 years ago but still remember the scenes with the high school kids in the fields.
Many welfare recipients are criminals. One way to deter crime would be to deny felons welfare benefits. Various studies have shown that petty crime (including low-level drug-dealing) is a very low-paying job. Without welfare bennies, petty criminals would starve. The problem is simple - crimes attract police attention. The greater the number, the greater the attention. This is why criminals don't make a lot of money - they need to spend time lying low after a spurt of activity. Bottom line is that crime is not a full-time job, and must be supplemented with food stamps and other benefits just to keep the lights on and food on the table.
You mean like Obama doing the job a true American president cannot do?

Politicians are tortuous weasle minded sick psychopaths. All this is posturing for political donations. To be this kind of crap one must be some real special kind of stupid.
Nah, Rich has it right. It's all about the market price of labor. These guys are trying to get Bangladesh soda jerks to do coding and management consulting. It's a market thing, and their thumbs are in the scales.
In fact, that is already the trend and has been for years.
Notice I said American blacks. I flew overseas for years, to Africa. They themselves would tell me that American blacks had terrible work ethics and family dysfunction. Ask a cab driver from Liberia, Kenya, or South Africa what he thinks of American blacks.
Now, we also have to distinguish that this is not all race - because that IS racism, and against God. He made us all, and our character is formed by adherence, or adherence to him. I would not trade one brilliant white atheist for 50 black Christians as my neighbors.
The problem is, black Americans used to be overwhelmingly Christian (real Christian). Today, they are over 90% atheist, cults, or Muslim.
This is reflected in their voting percentage (97% for Obama).
Spent some time with African-American males this week who work with young football players. You could QUICKLY see the men who were mentoring who were Christians. It was AMAZING. They got it - and they knew they had a role. I wish we had thousands more like them.
I understand, but the lower wage issue impacts many more people.
Russians in the USSR were baffled that Americans were “homeless” for 10 years or more. They walked out when someone officiating a meeting told them that.
Comes a time it is a lifestyle choice like homosexuality or hippiedom.
If Jose and Maria have two kids, Jose’s work permit allows Jose, Maria, and the two kids to come — and the rest of the family has to go through the process on their own. They can’t get in by being Jose’s uncle.
