Ferguson - Fox 1 MSNBCs lynch mob mentality blasted Politics / Radio / Television Glenn Beck: ditching conservatism New profile in HuffPo: he is mellowing a bit By Brian Maloney August 22nd, 2014, 1:58 EDT Beck Glenn 3
That he was even willing to do an interview with a progressive publication like the Huffington Post was the first clue. But whatever his motives, Glenn Beck is making his gradual shift away from conservatism apparent for all to see.
And it has some now-former fans hopping mad, especially at sites such as Free Republic and Breitbart, where hes being blasted as opportunistic and shifting with the winds for the sake of gaining Blaze TV carriage on major cable systems, among other allegations. Others focus on his (not as right-wing as some believe) Mormon faith as the driving force.

Beck is a Priest and a Temple Mormon who is on a path to become a God, his long range, and current underlying strategy, is probably to increasingly sell Mormonism.
The money he used, was from people who donated for that cause, knowing what it was for, am I wrong?
WEll I’ve been a former fan for awhile. Glenn has issues.
Glenn Beck is no conservative. Another RINO.
What exactly has Beck done, that indicates he’s “swung left”?
Where did I ever say Beck had an authority on history? Because I did not. Saying someone knows a lot and surrounds himself around others who do too, does not make one an authority on anything.
Your response doesn’t make a lick of sense and is completely incomprehensible.
Well, except for the total Beck bashing. I get it, you don’t like him. That’s your call. But don’t cut others down, who don’t share your opinion. I think you’re dislike of Beck, hinders your ability to read or form logical thoughts. IMO
Glenn runs fueled by emotion, not intellect. I saw some pictures from his border crusade; he wasn’t feeding only children.
I can’t take his Gandhi/MLK routine, especially the way he groups Jesus Christ in with them and calls them “three men.”
I read the article-—went the long way around, because I’m not in favor of helping out bloggers who’re using FR for hits with the Freepathon in its second month. Beck might have been on vacation, but so far he’s only mentioned Ferguson with “anodyne pleas for peace and calm.” Pleas...right. No doubt those destructive ferals will be receptive to his pleading.
Lucky, as for Beck & history, with all respect, I wouldn’t trust him on that as far as I could throw him. I’ll refer you back to his Fox show, when he started pushing the Bat Creek Stone as some kind of magical link proving ties between the American Indians and the Israelites...which is what Mormonism teaches.
Yep...and a nut, too.
Beck is fruitcake. He fancies himself as a libertarian. He has came out for homosexual “marriage” saying it’s a civil right. He’s a birther that thinks the US government was involved someway in 9/11. He thinks he’s a history teacher and repeats what he reads in books as some new revelation that only he knows. I do like his show, but only when he’s not on it. I can’t stand to hear him talk. He rubs me as bad as O’Reilly.
Dallas was originally TX’s most Republican city, c. 1960; it wasn’t that long ago either. Now it is a Demo stronghold with a growing liberal presence. LBJ swept Dallas in 1964, and the Republicans gradually lost strength over the next two decades.
I'm going to try one more time to explain what FR is all about.
And you don't? Teddy was an elitist eugenicist.
Same here. A year ago, I rallied for DISH to carry The Blaze on their line-up. Now, I’m lowering my programming, to NOT include The Blaze.
I’ve removed myself from ALL things Beck, otherwise.
I have no problem with God, I believe in God and I love God, but I don’t really want to be exhorted over it by Glenn Beck.
I used to really like his radio show, but not so much lately. Of course, I haven’t really been able to listen to him very much, unless I’m stuck in traffic.
But I’ve recently come to the conclusion that almost all talk radio hosts are complete ego maniacs. They all talk WAY TOO MUCH about themselves, their families, etc.
Imagine if Johnny Carson, instead of doing a monologe of topical humor had come on stage every night to tell you about his golf game, what he had for supper the night before, how he was planning to spend the weekend.
That stuff would never fly on TV.
I really need to get some audiobooks, stat!
But I do think you should really ponder your declaration that you share with fellow traveler Beck....
. History has taught that violence is never the answer
That could not be further from the truth.'....that is a canard used by those with a loose grasp of history and culture......liberty has always been paid for by blood
Same here.
The Beck crew, and those who revolve around him, are worth watching to see where their ideas and loyalties move.
Glenn has ALWAYS been about Glenn.
The whole idea of "thou shalt not murder" being turned into "thou shalt not kill" is a means to move towards pacifism...which hasn't solved a single damn thing....except for making sure Ron Paul didn't win the Presidency...
I sense there is a life long meltdown pattern with Beck. The alcoholism, the health crisis, the conversion to Mormonism, the quitting/getting fired from FOX, the constant "big announcements" and movements--now the condemning conservatives and moving leftward--
There will be many more, large and small--thankfully, I find him, largely, irrelevant and don't have to be subjected to him much. My prediction--the Blaze never becomes much more than it is. He divorces, remarries and divorces again. Converts to, at least, two more religions. Moves to, at least, three different states or countries. And probably dies broke.
Oh, and I would wager during this time he takes on a few different personas with different hair and dress styles--spectacles, eye pieces, argyle vests, men's gaucho pants, varying shades of blue/grey hair with varying heights on his head and, possibly, a fake accent at one point.
Dude's not stable. And on top of it, he seems to be a bit of a straight up a$$hole.
Wardaddy, that honors me...thank you.
But I missed that part. Lucky, violence is never the answer? Surely you can’t mean that. How many times in the past has freedom been obtained/retained by bloodshed, when necessary? Was Hitler prepared to accept a peaceful solution? Was King George?
As for Ferguson, it’s a disgrace that those ferals are being allowed to run wild and destroy everything in their path simply because they’re members of an approved victim class. If you’re inside the convenience store that you own, and a mob is outside, breaking the glass, battering down the doors-—are you going to meet that with peaceful slogans and ask them to rethink?
If you do, you’ll be dead. They deserve to be met with firepower. That’s the only answer they understand.
