Drive-Bys Discover Obama's Coldness

RUSH: Six years, six years, ladies and gentlemen, finally, maybe, after six years some in the Drive-By Media are finally coming to realize -- no -- some in the Drive-By Media finally coming to reeeeeealiiiiize, as Jill Abramson would say, who Obama is. Cookie, find me that Jill Abramson bite that we've been playing all week. Let the broadcast engineer know when you have it. Anyway, folks, here we are. Great to have you, as we head on down the tracks to another full week of broadcast excellence. The telephone number is 800-282-2882. The e-mail address, ElRushbo@eibnet.com.

The Drive-Bys are shocked that Obama would go play golf. It's either the New York Daily News or the New York Post, front cover, has a picture of Obama literally minutes after that heartfelt statement on Jim Foley, by the way, not James Foley. I mean, even the media is criticizing that. You know that? Obama using Jim Foley instead of his name, James Foley. Whenever you use that nickname abbreviation, it conveys familiarity. It conveys that you might know the guy. We don't know if Obama knew James Foley, but by calling him Jim Foley it convinces the low-information crowd that Obama and Jim Foley were friends.

But, anyway, Obama finishes the really pathetic -- I mean, and that is a pretty much universal review, too. Pathetic statement at a school. They quickly hung a blue curtain to make it look like the White House. The White House hung a blue curtain so that Obama could come in, make a statement, and minutes later, literally minutes, he's changed clothes, he's out on the golf course. There's a picture of him in the driver seat of the golf course just yukking it up and laughing and having the greatest time. And some in the Drive-Bys are throwing their hands up and admitting total shock that he would do this.
Maureen Dowd is practically melting down today over this.

What is the root of this, by the way? I want to explore this in just a moment because it's fascinating to listen to the Drive-Bys and the people who think they know Obama best. You know, if they had just -- and I know they never would and I know they never will. If the Drive-Bys had just listened to me back in January of 2009 or at any time since, if they had just taken a moment to not pay attention to who was saying what I said, but instead take note of what I said and actually consider it, they would be surprised today. But because it was I, because it was me saying it, they automatically rejected it, because of their own prejudice and bias and bigotry.

They could have known. They didn't have to have six years get in the can before they knew what they were dealing with here. But now it's six years and they just can't believe. Remember, now, what they thought of this guy, smarter than everybody else, as smart as they are. That's right, they're all from the Ivy League, so equally smart, equally sensitive, equally liberal, same worldview.

And now the Drive-Bys are shocked that Obama doesn't appear to care about Jim Foley, really. How could he really care about Jim Foley if he makes this statement -- and it was pretty weak. I mean, even the Drive-Bys, some of the Drive-Bys are parsing the statement. I've got all of this. I'll share it with you as the program unfolds.

But they had all these high hopes. They bought into all of it because Obama's them, and they are Obama, same generation, same worldview, same pedigree. And they all care. They're all terribly upset, "Why isn't Obama... how could he did do that? How can he go out and play golf with these guys?" They're writing about how his inner circle is getting even more inner and he's not including the Drive-Bys in what he does socially. It's all tightening up with just his close sycophant buddies and so forth. They're really disturbed by this.

This is kind of classic, too -- and this is an admission, I think, that everybody involved knows that his remarks yesterday were way off the mark, about Jim Foley. They released the news that they did a Jimmy Carter-style rescue effort that didn't work. They had this Special Ops plan to go in there and rescue Jim Foley and some of the others, and when they got there the hostages weren't there. The intel -- wait for it -- the intel was bad. Can you imagine if that had happened in the Bush White House? Can you imagine, and the excuse being bad intel, can you imagine what would happen? Even now, everybody's concluding that you don't divulge these secret operations. Even the ones that work, you don't divulge.

Well, it's a little bit easier to do that, but certainly you don't acknowledge the ones that fail! That's one of the problems with working at the CIA or in the clandestine services is that nobody will ever know what you do. Nobody will ever know your successes, and certainly they're never supposed to reveal the failed ops. That's just unheard of. So why did the Regime do it?

They did it to cover up for this pathetic reaction that Obama had yesterday, and not just the pathetic reaction. They did it to cover up for the pathetic policy overall. Let's go to the audio sound bites. You can hear what I'm talking about. We have here a... (muttering) It's a montage of media figures from last night and this morning, amazed at Obama's coldness.

PATTI ANN BROWNE: President Obama condemned Islamic terrorists for the execution of their son -- and then, it was back to golf.

DON LEMON: By most people's account, by anyone who is rational, the White House seems to be tone deaf. A journalist was beheaded!

RICK KLEIN: To see him giving these serious speeches and addressing serious matters and then immediately return to vacation is jarring.

GREG GUTFELD: Cold and calculated.

PETE HEGSETH: He literally went straight from the podium to the first tee, and I just can't relate to that indifference.

JOE SCARBOROUGH: Wow. He's a cold son-of-a-bitch.

RUSH: Wow, that was our old buddy Joe Scarborough on MSNBC. I could have told 'em. Let... (interruption) Is it civil? Well, I don't know if it's civil to call the president that. Depends on who... As is always the case, Snerdley, it depends on who's doing it. If a Democrat does it, yeah, it's civil. But Scarborough's questionable.

Some days he's a Democrat, some days he Republican. If he had on his moderate Democrat cap on yesterday, he can get away with. After all, he's on MSNBC. But listen to me. Can we get sound bite one? I want to take you back October 16th of 2008. This is before the election. This, ladies and gentlemen, is before Obama was elected the first time.

RUSH ARCHIVE: I didn't see cool. I don't see elegant. I see somebody not even really human. I see somebody devoid of passion. You can spin it in his favor and you can say he is cool under fire, or you can be more realistic and say he's cool only because he's cold. And there's a big difference. He's without feelings; he's without passion; he's a programmed robot.

RUSH: This is me advising and informing everybody my take on Obama. October 16th, 2008. That's what I mean. If the Drive-Bys had just bothered to listen to me, they wouldn't be surprised today, 'cause they're all out saying their own version of this -- that Obama's cold, that he's detached, and that they're all surprised by it. Here's Karl Rove who says the White House made a bad decision to have Obama play golf.

See, that kind of plays into the Limbaugh Theorem. "The White House" made Obama play golf? One of our guys is saying this? So Obama finishes his speech, his remarks about Jim Foley, and then he looks at his BlackBerry for instructions from the White House, and on his BlackBerry it says: "Hit first tee next"? Is that what happened? The White House told Obama to go play golf? Here's Karl Rove.

ROVE: [President George W. Bush] made a statement regarding an attack upon Israel while he was vacationing in New England, and this really caused President Bush to examine his behavior in a time of war, and it ultimately caused him to decide to give up golf for the balance of his presidency because he just couldn't square the gap between -- the visual gap between -- having to make statements like the statements that President Obama had to make and then being on the golf course. Somebody made a mistake.

RUSH: "Somebody made a mistake."

It was Obama!

Who, really, is out there telling Obama to go play golf? Was there somebody saying, "Mr. President, don't play golf," but they weren't with the White House, and the White House was saying, "Go play golf"? You see, and even that decision, Obama didn't really make it. Or a charitable way of looking at it is that Obama says he's gonna go do X and some adult somewhere there says, "Okay, fine," or "No, you better not."

In the case of yesterday, the adult in the White House said, "Ah, yeah. That's cool. Go ahead," and the White House made a mistake. How is it that Obama escapes responsibility? Even from people on our side, how is it Obama escapes accountability and responsibility for his own actions? The idea the White House told him to go play golf?

I'm not making too big a deal out of this, but it does feed into this notion that Obama really doesn't hold any accountability; he's not really responsible for what he does. John Bolton was on Greta Van Susteren last night, the Fox News Channel. She said, "What do you make of the breaking news tonight that the Pentagon's released the information that they had a failed rescue mission, supposedly trying to get perhaps Jim Foley?"

BOLTON: This is a stunning breach of security for the United States. This is exactly the sort of thing that should remain completely confidential for 50 years.

RUSH: Bingo!

BOLTON: Because it tells people what we tried to do.

RUSH: Right.

BOLTON: Number two, it's an admission of failure.

RUSH: Bingo.

BOLTON: Number three: Whoever it was we relied upon, whoever gave us the tip, may be dead already. This is not something you do.

RUSH: Yes, it is if you have to cover up for a previously committed error, which was a pathetic, without passion statement. Have you heard the reaction to Obama's speech? Everybody's saying, "Didn't he feel anything? Where's the anger? Where's the passion? Where's the empathy? Where is it?" Sorry, folks, it doesn't exist. Narcissists are incapable.

You know, this notion of passion and emotion and all that? With narcissists it's a one-way street, and it's always incoming. Narcissists don't have time to care about other people. They're too busy wondering about everybody else caring about them. They're too busy expecting everybody to be focused on them. Narcissists can't possibly be effusive or emotive, by clinical definition.

Because they're too busy waiting and expecting love, adulation, and whatever else is important to them. So if you go out and be who you are and it was universally panned, well, then to show you care and to show you're up to speed, you tell the details of a failed attempt to rescue them. That's supposed to convey your emotion.

That's supposed to show people how much you care. That's supposed to send a signal that you think about people other than yourself. But it's tactical error, as Bolton just described. Here, let's see. It's a former deputy CIA director Mike Morell on CBS This Morning, and the fill-in host said, "What are you concerned ISIS might do inside the United States?"

MORELL: A short-term concern is the Americans who have gone to fight with ISIS, and the west Europeans that have gone to fight with ISIS, could be trained and directed by ISIS to come to the United States to conduct small-scale attacks. If a(n) ISIS member showed up in a mall in the United States tomorrow with an AK-47 and killed a number of Americans, I would not be surprised. Over the long term, I worry that this group could present a 9/11-style threat.

RUSH: That's Mike Morell. He's a former CIA deputy director. A lot of people are saying now that ISIS is worse than Al-Qaeda, making a big deal out of the fact that the ISIS member who beheaded James Foley spoke with a British accent. Hey, folks, Britain lost their immigration war a long time ago. There is no Great Britain as your grandfather knew it.

You know, in Great Britain, the most popular name for newborn boys past three years, Mohammed, Muhammad, Mohamed. Top three. What does it tell you? I'm telling you, Al-Qaeda, militant Islam, has made profound inroads in the United Kingdom. And they did it with the UK's essentially open-borders immigration policy, which is rooted right there in political correctness.

A bunch of elites, a bunch of liberal socialist elites in the UK who are smarter than everybody else, with enough white guilt to cover the entire planet, say, "Come on in," to anybody, and they basically erase the border or the erase procedures. They said good-bye to assimilation, and now everybody is shocked that the ISIS guy that was on the video that people watched, spoke with a British accent.

Now they're calling this group of ISIS that held James Foley captive the Beatles, 'cause they all sound English. This guy's name was John and he has a British accent. So that's why Morell is concerned, "Hey, if they've had success at converting British citizens to militant Islam, why couldn't that happen here?" It's a decent question.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: I got a funny note from a friend: "Hey, Rush, even if the Drive-Bys and even all these people, if they had listened to you six years ago, and if they heard everything you said warning about Obama, they'd still vote for him again. They'd do it all over again. If they had it to do it again, they'd vote for him again still." And that's probably true. Ruling class, elite liberals would probably vote for him again because -- well, just because. They're superior to everybody, no matter evidence to the contrary.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: Folks, I'm sitting here wondering about this picture of Obama that ran New York Daily News, I think. I mean, mere moments after he finishes his heartfelt slap at the JV team, he's out there on the first tee. He's in the driver's seat of his golf cart, and he is smiling, and he is just happy as he can be. I'm just wondering if the photographer who took that picture is going to be forced to apologize.

(interruption) Well, for capturing Obama at a private moment that wasn't supposed to be seen. You think that photographer might be forced to apologize like the photographer who apologized for posting the picture of Obama taking a selfie? You remember that? The selfie over at Mandela's memorial. A photographer apologized for taking that picture. So will this one either be made to apologize or have the guts to do it on his own?

Narcissus and Echo, 2014

Just substitute Zero for Narcissus and MSM for Echo:

Echo often waited in the woods to see Narcissus hoping for a chance to be noticed. One day as she lingered in the bushes he heard her footsteps and called out “Who’s here?” Echo replied “Here!” Narcissus called again “Come”, Echo replied “Come!”. Narcissus called once more “Why do you shun me?... Let us join one another.” Echo was overjoyed that Narcissus had asked her to join him. She longed to tell him who she was and of all the love she had for him in her heart but she could not speak. She ran towards him and threw herself upon him.

Narcissus became angry “Hands off! I would rather die than you should have me!” and threw Echo to the ground. Echo left the woods a ruin, her heart broken. Ashamed she ran away to live in the mountains yearning for a love that would never be returned. The grief killed her. Her body became one with the mountain stone. All that remained was her voice which replied in kind when others spoke.

“I love you!” Obama said to his reflection.
“I love you, too.” MSM

The Won didn’t have a tie on (again) for his address to the peons. He often does that, dressing like he doesn’t care-

Scorning the necktie is a well known symbol of disdain for the West, initiated and used especially by anti-American Iranian fanatics. Find pictures of Ahmadinejad--plenty out there but you won't find him wearing a neck tie in any of them.

Hey now...

I’ve not worn a tie for 20+ years...

Not donning a skinny colorful bib is not anti West - at least in my view...

amen to that. ties are a nightmare. whoever invented those should be sent to the gallows - or better yet, hung by the neck with one until dead!

For Obama himself, actions speak louder than words.

For the rest of us, a picture is worth a thousand words.

BTW, I think Maureen Dowd's piece was entitled something like, "Alone Again, Naturally" so I thought I'd semi-hijack the thread / semi-obey an old FR rule:

Cheers!

Hare Checklist for identifying a psychopath:

1. Look for glib and superficial charm. A psychopath will also put on what professionals refer to as a “mask” of sanity that is likeable and pleasant. For example, the psychopath may do good deeds to gain his or her victims trust.

2. Look for a grandiose self perception. Psychopaths will often believe they are smarter or more powerful than they actually are.

3. Watch for a constant need for stimulation. Stillness, quiet and reflection are not things embraced by psychopaths. They need constant entertainment and activity.

4. Determine if there is pathological lying. A psychopath will tell all sorts of lies; little white lies as well as huge stories intended to mislead.

5. Evaluate the level of manipulation. All psychopaths are identified as cunning and able to get people to do things they might not normally do. They can use guilt, force and other methods to manipulate.

6. Look for any feelings of guilt. An absence of any guilt or remorse is a sign of psychopathy.

7. Consider the affect or emotional response a person has. Psychopaths demonstrate shallow emotional reactions to deaths, injuries, trauma or other events that would otherwise cause a deeper response.

8. Look for a lack of empathy. Psychopaths are callous and have no way of relating to non-psychopaths.

9. Take a look at the person's lifestyle. Psychopaths are often parasitic, meaning they live off other people.

10. Observe the person's behavior. The Hare Checklist includes three behavior indicators; poor behavior control, sexual promiscuity and early behavior problems.

11. Talk about goals. Psychopaths have unrealistic goals for the long term. Either there are no goals at all, or they are unattainable and based on the exaggerated sense of one’s own accomplishments and abilities.

12. Look at whether the person is impulsive or irresponsible. Both those characteristics are evidence of psychopathy.

13. Consider whether the person can accept responsibility. A psychopath will never admit to being wrong or owning up to mistakes and errors in judgment.

14. Examine marital relationships. If there have been many short term marriages, the chances the person is a psychopath increase.

15. Look for a history of juvenile delinquency. Many psychopaths exhibit delinquent behaviors in their youth.

16. Check for criminal versatility. Psychopaths are able to get away with a lot, and while they might sometimes get caught, the ability to be flexible when committing crimes is an indicator.

17. Check out if a person makes constant use of “the poor fellow's imagery”. Psychopaths are experts at manipulating our emotions and insecurities into causing us to view them as “poor injusticed fellows”, thus lowering our sentimental guard and rendering us vulnerables for future exploitation. If this psychologic resource is continually combined with unacceptable and evil actions, this equals to a powerful alert sign about this person's real nature

18. Pay extreme attention to the person's treatment towards others. Psychopaths are generally prone to belittle, humiliate, mistreat, mock and even attack physically (or kill, in extreme cases) people who normally would bring no benefits to him/her in any way, such as subordinates, physically frail or lower-ranking people, children, elderly people and even animals - especially the latter ones. Remember Arthur Schoepenhauer’s famous words: “A person who harms or kills animals cannot be a good person at all”. Another relevant saying is Mahatma Gandhi's famous speech, “You know somebody well for their treatment towards their animals”.

THIS NEEDS TO GO VIRAL---Keep in mind the WH ding-a-ling ran as a "Conservative"---said he wanted to be "another Reagan". This conniving strategy was crafted by Chicagoland criminal kingpin--Rahm Emanuel.

2014 DUMMYCRATS DUPE VOTERS (locksteppers salue smartly)

Breitbart.com reports that b/c of an increasingly hostile 2014 political landscape, Democrats are resorting to whining--- asking voters to believe they have suddenly "seen the light" and are now conservatives.

In districts across the country, Democrats are campaigning as "true believers' in tax cuts, balanced budgets and for rolling back big government's harmful regulations.

They're even bleating about guns, fracking and coal....trying to appeal to the conservative heartland.

The list of Democrats carving out more conservative positions is too lengthy to mention. In fact, breitbart.com reports, it would be noteworthy to find any Democrat in a competitive election running on the platform espoused by the DNC, Harry Reid or Nancy Pelosi.

So you hafta ask: what is the point of the national Democrat party if individual candidates have to separate themselves from it when facing actual voters. As conservatives have always observed, Dummycratism is not Ieven a coherent party....just a collection of hyphenates.....and expedient alliances of special interest groups.

This is an old Dummycrat trick---from the conniving shallow mind of Chicago-land kingpins of political crime. Obama suck-up Rahm Emanuel actually dreamed up the con.

As you may recall, the Democrat wave in 2006 was fueled, in large part, by public weariness with the Iraq War and opportunistic Dummycrats pilingon GWB.

Naturally, the drive-by media failed to report that this con game was the aggressiveness of then-Cong Rahm Emanuel to recruit moderate and conservative Democrats to run for office.

This devious strategy worked so well---- that before the GOP landslide in 2010, 54 members of the House Democrat caucus were conservative "blue dog democrats."

With only 14 "blue dogs" now serving in Congress, this mythical creature has all but disappeared from the political landscape. With support for Obama and his policies nearing record lows, Democrats in Congress are again trying to pull off this trick.

CONCLUSION: Stupid Dummycrats can run wearing Reagan masks, for all that matters----the prog/nitwit in the WH keeps reminding voters about the Dummycrat-fashioned disaster that has befallen our beloved country.

....so why does this bunch of MSM nimrods think St Hillary of Chappaqua will be any better?...

LOL---love it. Truly is the $64,000 question.

=================================================

I still fondly recall Hillary standing loyally by
Boobamba's side at the caskets of four dead Americans
killed in Benghazi. What was she thinking?

"I wish this fathead would shut-the-eff-up. "

"Four Americans dead. On my watch. I'm in deep doo-doo.
"Dam, Bill better dream up something to cover my ***.

"I know---Blame Republicans....that always works."
