One thing didn’t make sense. How could you shoot someone six times after they damaged your eye socket? How far was Brown shot from?

I would imagine only one eye was hurt/ in pain...
How could you shoot someone six times after they damaged your eye socket?
Adrenaline + emergency backup eye (that’s one reason GOD gave us two)
Hurt his eye (still had the other one), and his trigger finger wasn’t torn off.
What an uninformed comment. I was shot thru the abdomen with a 45 cal hollow point. One inch below my navel then exited below my buttocks. I then returned fire with a 12 Ga. in a hall way at a distance of 12 feet.
Trust me that was worse than a poke in the eye.
He could and should have put six into the bad guy. The thing the officer and I have in common is that we are still able to tell our Grandchildren about the incident.
I’m not being sarcastic but most of us come with two eyes and MOST shooters close one of them when shooting, usually the dominant one. No matter which, Officer Wilson used one of his two hands, maybe both to hold and shoot. Police train regularly on how to shoot and I noticed that most all of his six shots were to the right side of Big Mike’s body as he came or lunged forward. Might be a clue to the loss of using one of officer Wilson’s two eyes. Guess it doesn’t matter which eye was damaged though but may have some significance as to where the bullets were placed. The rule when shooting is “center mass” and if Big Mike was staggering around, hitting that “mass” would be a problem for anyone, even a shooter with two eyes.
Unless his eye is hanging from the socket, probably just fine. It takes time for an eye to swell shut when hit.
Simple, you're running on pure adrenaline and your mind will take over the good eye that is still functioning........And as a side note, if it wasn't his dominant eye, he wouldn't have even noticed........
Next question?

That’s why God gave you two of them....
You can still shoot someone with only one eye....
Maybe that’s why he missed hitting him in center mass and shot his arm 4 times...
If you look at the autopsy diagram you’ll see shots all over his body. The damaged eye socket caused double vision. Only reason he was shot in the head was he was just about on top of the cop.
That's what I was thinking. That's a serious injury. He still hit him 6 times, too. Not saying it's impossible, but, I don't know...
You need to google the 21 foot rule.
A blow out fx doesn’t leave you blind in that eye. Frequently it causes double vision, but not always. Not inconsistent with shooting someone at relatively close range.
