“A young man needlessly died a violent death when steps could have been taken to prevent that from happening. “
I agree entirely——the young man should have behaved himself.
.
As happened with Trayvon, once the perp goes for the gun, lethal force becomes fully justified.
Yep! Officer Wilson should have acted like Sheriff Andy Taylor of Mayberry and put a hand on the ‘boy’s’ shoulder and gave him a niiiiiice talk about the dangers of walking in the middle of the street.
The boy surely would have felt remorse, hung his head, thanked the officer for setting him straight and gone home to Aunt Bea...
Revolver? The weapon in question was a sig sauer P 226 in . 40 caliber. This guy doesn’t know his ass from first base. I agree- this is one to ignnore.

I thought I heard that he had just received his diploma or GED from summer school. Whether or not he was going to college is irrelevant. He wasn’t headed down the path to college when he strong armed the store clerk and stole the cigars. He definitely wasn’t thinking about college when he attacked the officer in his car. Mr Brown might still be alive if he focused on attending college instead of attending prison.
The steps that could have been taken to prevent his death were by the “unarmed” 6’4”, 300 pound “teenager” walking in the middle of the street.
True and worth repeating.
“The still-murky shooting episode...”
It’s not “still-murky” - it’s become increasingly clear that Michael Brown was a criminal thug who assaulted a police officer, tried to take his gun, ran then turned around and ‘bum rushed” the officer from 35 ft. - a distance that can be covered in seconds.
All known evidence supports this version of events, including and especially the autops(ies).
The evidence is not murky - Holder and the other race agitators refuse to accept the evidence and will twist it to fit their agenda. They’ll do anything, it seems to prosecute Officer Wilson, damn the facts and evidence.
Since when is eliminating a thug a tragedy? Wonder how many lives (and how much taxpayer money) Officer Wilson may have saved by shooting this violent criminal? It was a positive boon for the law-abiding citizens of Ferguson
It isn’t just Townhall. Fox News and others are falling all over themselves to tsk, tsk about this thug’s death. It’s enough to make one puke.
While conservatives are falling all over themselves to be “fair”, liberals are calling it a state execution, racist, a war on blacks, etc. and calling for the the officer to be arrested and charged with murder.
Wishy-washy, mealy mouthed on our side, foaming at the mouth rabid on theirs. We lose.
His 6'4 stature and his 292 lbs weight were is weapons imho
Anti - the cop did not shoot to warn — he shot to save his own life. As the facts will support when it all comes out.
Once the officer was struck in the head by Brown lethal force was in play. Most departments in their “use of force” policy recognize that ANY blows to the head are considered lethal force. At that point Wilson was clear to use lethal force to stop Brown.

It ain’t “tragic” as much as it is “totally stupid thug getting himself killed” if the cops story is true and it looks true
There was a mention in the autopsy that the range was up to 30 feet..
Brown could have started from more than 30 feet away yelling threats at the policeman..
The first shot to his arm could have been at the 30 foot mark
and then so on..
there was also a mention of 1 to 2 feet..probably the head shot..
It would not have taken Brown long to close the gap from 30+ feet to 1-2 feet..mere seconds..
Yes, and Michael Brown took none of those steps.

His articles in Townhall.com go back to January 2, 2006
Yeah exactly
It was more a rhetorical question.
Do you think he writes good articles?
Like I said his 6’4 stature and his almost 300 lbs weight (292) were his weapons
