Mitt Romney: Obama worse than even I expected
The Washington Times ^ | 08/19/14 | S.A. Miller

Mitt Romney said Tuesday that the problems inflicted by President Obama’s policies are even worse than he predicted during the 2012 presidential campaign.

“It’s been a good deal worse than even I expected,” Mr. Romney told reporters after headlining a rally here for Republican candidates for the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives.

“I was not a big fan of the president’s policies, as you know, either domestically or internationally,” he said. “But the results of his mistakes and errors, in my opinion, have been more severe than even I would have predicted.”

YOU KNOW, the Republican Leadership will do everything they can to make sure Romney is the candidate against Hillary.

IMO, Romney is Obama's political clone.
As much as I hate the idea of Hillary, I don't think she'd be as bad as either Obama or Romney.
(Note, this does not mean she'll get my vote; I'm through playing that stupid the other guy's worse game — I'll give my vote to someone I can vote for.)

Says the gun-grabbing grandfather of Obamacare and father of homosexual "marriage".

Those who actually opposed Obama agree, however.

well, Governor Romney, its a crying shame you didn’t realize how bad O is.....when you were entrusted with the nomination for the office.
Maybe you would have run a real campaign to replace him.

Instead, you never even attacked or questioned his weakest points

just standing there and being a nice gentleman is not an effective way to campaign. you can be gentlemanly about it but an effective campaigner needs to critique, challenger his opponent

just saying

But McCain supports amnesty.

McCain also authored Campaign Finance Reform, stating that -- in a choice between free speech and good government -- he would choose good government every time.

McCain has yet to see a conflict anywhere on the globe that we should not be militarily involved in.

McCain is an ill-tempered, impulsive SOB who had no business being president.

McCain managed to serve ten years as the Chairmman of the Commerce Committee, yet later confessed that he had no idea how business worked. Still, there was no problem that could not be solved by another government regulation. Pure statist.

Finally, McCain holds each and every one of us conservatives in contempt -- referring to us as "bigots" an "assholes". He also has the annoying tendency to dismiss his supporters and pander to our enemies.

In truth, a choice between Romney and McCain is "Name your poison".

Actually, Romney was not clueless. In fact, he is rather sharp, but purists got in a snit and purists gave us four more years of Obama.

Hey Romney, I wasn’t surprised. Now all I have to do is become a slime ball and I will be more qualified for president than you are.

"But McCain supports amnesty."

No matter what Romney said to get the Republican nomination, Etch-a-sketch was an amnesty lover and he went back to loving amnesty full time when it no longer mattered to him.

If you imagine that Romney loves conservatives, you haven't paid any attention to what has been happening to Sarah Palin all these years. Son of an Alinsky-ite, Romney never met a socialist he didn't like and he never met a conservative he liked.

The article states that Romney didn’t think Obama would be this bad. That qualifies as clueless in my book.

Actually, he has been a good President... for:

the New Black Panther Parth
the Muslim Brotherhood
Hamas
ISIS
and illegals.

Ah! It makes sense now! Of course!

We got in a snit in Florida because Mitt decided he did not have to campaign here. The biggest prize in the election and Mitt figured he could dial it in. According to Mitt’s campaign record in Florida, Newt Gingrich is the worse thing that could ever happen to the country. Obama, on the other hand, was in just a little over his head.

If Mitt didn’t feel it was necessary to show up to his own campaign, why did we?

He actually created Obama Care (in Mass.) before he opposed it.

If you imagine that Romney loves conservatives, you haven't paid any attention...

Oh, I've paid attention. An I never claimed that Romney wasn't guilty of some of McCain's transgressions.

Romney did have the good taste not to call us bigots, however. At least, not in public...

Point is Romney and McCain both represent the bottom of the GOPe barrel. Either would've been a disaster as president -- as opposed to the catastrophe we have.

I confess I voted for both -- but the McCain vote was a little harder to deliver.

I remember immediately after Obama was elected (the first time) and his poll numbers were well into the stratosphere. A bunch of Freepers were posting on this board and commiserating with each other about what we should do next.
Someone, and I don't remember who, remarked that if Conservatism was indeed the right philosophy we probably wouldn't have to do anything and the whole Obama BS machine would fall apart of its own weight.
I always remembered what that poster said and especially how right he/she was that night.

Mittens was rolled by the Obama Machine—he is the victim here. would he have been a better president than Obama? In a heart beat! Great? I don’t know, but better than Obama’s inability to lead. Fact: He said he would cancel Obamacare his first day! Fact: he was a 10th amendment guy—the states should do healthcare not the feds. OK so he wasn’t a perfect conservative—he was a good capitalist. We could have done a lot worst for a president—and we did with Obama.
