Sunday on CBS's "Face The Nation," Gov. Jay Nixon (D-MO) said the local police "attempting to besmirch a victim of a shooting" by releasing a video of Michael Brown allegedly engaging in a "strong-arm" convenience store robbery.
"I think it had an incendiary effect," Nixon said. "I mean, when you release picture and you clearly are attempting to besmirch a victim of a shooting, shot down in his own street, a young man and at the same time you’re releasing information to try to make it, to tarnish him, then properly, there was a lot of folks that were concerned about that, and I do think it flamed it back up and has caused us to have to deal with some of that."

I’ve heard just about every subject on this issue covered by the media except one. What is the number of and types of businesses that have been burned down or looted since all this started? Are any of these businesses reopening after everyone finally goes home? How will this hurt Ferguson in the future? Will insurance costs go up?

Nixon is exactly what’s wrong with politics. A self serving hypocrite who leaps at political opportunism no matter the consequences. He’d no more live in a black neighborhood or sent brats to black public schools yet he’s out defending the worst of the worst.

If you are not making a phone call and just taking a video on your cell phone, I doubt there is any record kept at the phone company of people taking video with their phone.

The release of the video helped defuse it for most people. The race baiters will continue to push the meme that Brown was on his knees, arms upraised surrendering. I hope the toxicology report provides some indication of drug use. DOJ is going to do a second autopsy, which is odd unless they are trying to counter the first one.
I saw a list last night for businesses that were looted. I think there were about eight in one night. I saw where some shopkeepers were going to close down for good. I couldn't find the list today or I would post it. They are messing up their own community. When the liberals leave and the paid demonstrators and the black panthers, what will they have left -- More gang bangers who think they can do whatever they want.
