This appeared to be a case where the man simply said, "No. You are not going to arrest me." And when he got bored he ran away. The officers did not shoot him. That was the proper response. But..
what if he had battered them and attempted to take one or both guns? And the officers managed to get away enough to draw their weapons and shoot?
Wrong thing for the officers to do. That's not "keeping the peace and preserving life." I guess. There will always be another day.
Well for one thing if the officers did not shoot him the victim's industry would be disappointed. They depend upon celebrating, "Hot damn! Another victim of the man!"
The lesson: You have to let black people steal or else!
I would think military band music would repel hippies.
Another option for music repelling ferals would be opera. A high pitched, female falsetto voiced opera would even send the mice running off.

This can’t be true! The demonrat governor took over the case and removed all militarized racist cops, replacing them will 100% non-military liberal approved non-racist cops, who promised to hold hand and sing with the rioters/looters.
Heavy metal is too harsh for hippies and dominated by conservatives. They prefer the Dave Matthews band or Fish.
You loot, we root-—up that is and out. Jungle ghettos and stores just don’t jive well together.
Never mind any disputes or other motivations, the old rules need to be brought back: Looters will be shot.

Nothing new - I've seen many times where folks here claim to believe in the Constitution but then support some unconstitutional program because it would be convenient for them and seems to "make sense". If they stop knee-jerking and wait for the facts to trickle out first, it would save a lot of back-and-forth ripostes. It would also make FR less fun and interesting by taking away our opportunities to "debate" with each other.
