Friend --

BREAKING: Another poll has confirmed that Mitch is in the lead!

The latest poll released today from Public Policy Polling shows Mitch ahead by 4 points. This is great news for Kentucky and devastating news for Barack Obama and his hand-picked candidate, Alison Lundergan Grimes. (SNIP)

With your continued support, we're confident we can win this race. Together, we can take back the Senate and stop the radical Obama agenda. (SNIP)

(SNIP)

Thanks for your support,

Jesse Benton

Claims that he single-handedly stopped Obama’s war on coal - and yet - you cannot find a SINGLE effort, piece of legislation or act from McConnell to restrain Obama’s EPA. Not one.

That's not true at all. He hasn't claimed the war on coal has stopped - quite the opposite. He has also sponsored legislation, blocked by Reid, to reign in the EPA regulations, and that has been a campaign theme.

Not a single meeting with Conservatives in the House to encourage them to defund the EPA or ObamaCare. None.

McConnell is a Senator - not a member of the House of Representatives. Regardless, he "didn't meet with members of the House" is a manufactured criticism.

Yet he claims he supported gutting ObamaCare “root and branch”.

Voting for complete repeal could be described as doing that.

He works to ensure a vote to enable Obama’s agenda passes - and then when it is clear it will pass, he votes NO.

I've no idea what this even means. You mean his voting to allow a vote on the bill to defund Obamacare?

McConnell is one vicious bastard when it comes to trashing Conservatives - but nary a terse word for Obama and his agenda outside of rhetoric to the base to get re-elected.

You haven't been paying much attention the last several years. "nary a terse word" LOL - yeah. You could argue it's all be rhetoric, but to say it hasn't been said and said often is completely false.

Nope! If anything they are probably sharing campaign and smear tactics.

In an objective sense, you are a supporter of the Democrats and the Liberals. You care not the least if they win, as you state. Therefore, you are no different than them. You've no right to complain about them because you say you don't care if they win. You admit this. So it's not a matter of which side are you on. You tells us whose side you're on.

This is likely McConnell’s last term. He also has his faction, but there’s not a “McConnell dynasty.”

Grimes, while personally younger, is part of a political establishment even older than McConnell’s...one that has been weakening, but if they get into a U.S. Senate seat, they will be stronger than ever for decades to come.

I really believe support for several of these rinos is very soft in spite of the percentages. The country is very dissatisfied with the direction of the country, but Republicans aren’t offering anything to motivate voters. Combine that with insulting their base, and I think we will see some senators ousted, but the numbers will be similar to what they are now. I also think the party base will be blamed by both the democrats (media), and republican establishment for the Republicans not taking the Senate. We should expect to be vilified at levels that will make us out to be worse than Nazis and Klansmen on steroids.

Well not entirely - I would vote for Zell Miller over Olympia Snowe, for example.

In an objective sense, you are a supporter of the Democrats and the Liberals.

That lame attempt to shame by you Establishment party hacks is falling on deaf ears bub.

Voting for a Democrat and a Liberal just because they have an 'R' next to their name meets the criteria you attempt to attach to my refusal to support the oligarchy.

You've no right to complain about them because you say you don't care if they win.

Who the hell do you think you are? You're a nobody. I'll complain all I want.

I want true Conservatives to win, not traitors who undermine Conservatives and then declare war on them because they hate them as much as the Liberal Democrats do.

And McConnell is no Conservative.

Given what he did in KY during the primary and in MS, I would rather Grimes take the seat than see McConnell remain in it. At least we would know who the enemy really is instead of having to watch our backs for the next stab in the heart from behind by McConnell.

You’re just making a foolish argument. If you won’t push things to the right, then you’re admitting you’ll accept them moving to the left. Obviously, you’ll complain. That seems to be the inexorable outcome for your approach to politics, and I suspect life. You write that we should let our opponents win because a Republican party candidate isn’t pure enough. Then, complain some more. If you have a better conservative running, I would understand your point. But you don’t. Other than getting angry I don’t see how your proposal to encourage Democrats to win is consistent with conservatism or this websites goals. Are you working for the Democrat or the Socialist party trying to tamp down the Republican vote with discouraging rants?

That's not true at all. He hasn't claimed the war on coal has stopped - quite the opposite.

You are either lying or grossly misinformed. His radio ads run non-stop out here and they claim he "stopped Obama's war on coal" and the truth is he has not done a DAMNED THING to put a dent in it.

Regardless, he "didn't meet with members of the House" is a manufactured criticism.

If McConnell really wanted to stop "Obama's war on coal" he would have encouraged Boehner to let Ted Cruz and Mike Lee work to defund the EPA - which is a power the House has.

Yet he claims he supported gutting ObamaCare “root and branch”. Voting for complete repeal could be described as doing that.

How stupid do you think we are? That was nothing but political theatrics to placate Conservatives.

Here's some FRUITS of McConnell's complicity with ObamaCare:

September 27, 2013 - McConnell leads the effort to give Harry Reid Cloture to RESTORE funding for ObamaCare that the House Bill by Ted Cruz STRIPPED ObamaCare funding in the Budget bill.

McConnell led this procedural gimmick to enable a "clean continuing resolution" that fully funded ObamaCare to pass the upper chamber.

Root and branch eh????

McConnell is a slime. What he did in MS should be a reminder of how an Oligarch plays the game.

He did after all declare war on Conservatives not on his reservation and vowed to crush us wherever he found us, suggesting we wold not be able to field a single candidate against his Establishment.

McConnell is a worse enemy for the Conservative cause than Obama is.

Let me explain it so even a party hack stooge like yourself can understand:

The GOP-e Oligarchy is every bit the enemy of the Constitution and liberty as the Democrat MarxoFascists are.

Clear it up any for you?

Your party is as much an enemy to liberty and our rights as Obama and his party is.

So we will fight against your Establishment with as much vigor and determination as we do the MarxoFascists.

Who is "we?" Do you have a mouse in your pocket? Are you the spokeswoman for a party that's established? Do you think the purpose of FReeRepublic is to treat even Republicans with above 96% American Conservative Rating, like McConnell, as "The GOP-e Oligarchy is every bit the enemy of the Constitution and liberty as the Democrat MarxoFascists are."

Again, I say you're objectively no different than a Liberal. Your argument is childish in a melodramatic way with superheated rhetoric that's just plain goofy.

Side note - Didn’t Mitch already state that he will reverse Reid’s nuclear vote decision upon retaking the Senate? This isn’t a fool who doesn’t know how to use a weapon. It’s a “Statist” who uses a weapon on enemies...enemies being conservatism, constitutionalism, and liberty. I wouldn’t vote for a Dem, but I would let him die on the vine and sacrifice the seat. (Just like Thad and company).

elhombreliberal,

Stop boasting about the rating on your GOPe pal McConnell. Not only is he a backstabbing liberal, he’s also only rated 69% by the Heritage Action Scorecard. I trust Heritage a whole lot more than those gay loving Muslims at the ACU.

McConnell’s rating:

If McConnell looks conservative to you, you’re a lib. #Remember Mississippi
