I was very fortunate to have had dinner with one of the authors, Sarah Adams and interview her a couple weeks later. She had left Benghazi a day or so before the attack. She served on the Benghazi Committee and her and Dave Benton invested a lot of their time and money researching and determining the whereabouts of the terrorists responsible for the attack. She's shared on several podcast that she hopes their work will be used by other nations to hunt and bring the terrorists to justice. First link is for an autographed copy and the 2nd and 3rd...

A Benton, Illinois, mother was shocked when she saw a kid’s shirt she had ordered for her three-year-old daughter from a Chinese retailer featured an iconic NWA lyric: "F*** the police." Kelsey Dawn Williamson, 23, told BuzzFeed News that while the shirt certainly doesn’t represent her daughter's view of police enforcement, she still can't stop laughing at the situation. Williamson believed that the order she placed through AliExpress would feature just the characters of the classic children's books, Frog and Toad by Arnold Lobel. The mother has ordered from the retailer before for her daughter, Salem, and has never experienced...

Bird flu has been discovered in domestic birds in Benton County. The flu was found in a flock of about 150 birds, including domestic waterfowl with access to the outdoors. The virus has not been found in commercial poultry anywhere in Washington State or the United States. The Washington State Department of Agriculture says there is no immediate public health concern as the avian flu does not affect poultry meat or egg products, which remain safe to eat. However, as always, both wild and domestic poultry should be propertly cooked.
