The United States has stressed repeatedly that its current limited missions in Iraq against ISIL are not long-term solutions. “We are looking long-term at how we fight ISIL,” said State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf. Asked by a reporter to clarify, Harf said, “We’ve been looking at that for quite some time. That’s not new.” “We’ve been looking at that for months and months, even before the latest offenses that started in June against Mosul – for, you

Looking at it won't change anything.

Granted, if we could manage this with the entire gov’t, outside of foreign policy, we’d probably be better off.

The next step is to consider beginning a dialog regarding the possibility of holding a meeting to begin to discuss the development of a long-term strategy.

Don't forget the "needs assessment" and to run everything by the focus groups.

Mind boggling. They are now telling lies that contradict one another! This level of incompetence coupled with a total lack of ethics is scary.

State Department = “ i’d Like to Teach the World to Sing...” in a constant hypnotic voice while doing their best to make the most simplest solutions transform into the most difficult quagmires for future generations to deal with.

Development of Marxists/materialism claptrap that flys in the face of reality has become the stalwart of the State Department since the late 1950s and continues on to this day. USSR does not necessarily mean Marxism. Just look at how government and academia absorbed “Political Correctness” starting in the 1930s. Republican Presidencies have never cleaned out the State Department of these reprobates btw.

There was a Retired General that’s a contributor to FNC on last week. He said that he’d be surprised if the Pentagon hadn’t been looking at ISIL and developing a plan for some months. He also indicated that some of his contacts at the Pentagon were livid about this situation. Sounds like the same old thing - Obama is the smartest guy in the room (in his and ValJal’s mind) and knows much more than anyone, including all the Generals, etc. that are knowledgeable on military strategery and matters.

If they have been looking for a long term strategy for months and months, then they are clueless, rudderless and most of all useless.
