Any court challenge could lead to a lengthy trial, because McDaniel’s claims cite multiple counties. While Mississippi courts have ordered some new local elections, no court has overturned or ordered a new statewide election in at least the past six decades.

I wonder if Chris is willing to take this challenge past Nov. 4, the day of the General Election? I'm down for it. Keep the popcorn on hand.

Referring the issue to court also allows members of the GOP’s executive committee, many of whom have ties to Cochran, to avoid ruling on McDaniel’s challenge.

And, that's a good thing. I've wanted the courts to rule from the onset.

Probably not. A lot of money for an extreme long shot. We STILL haven’t seen the evidence. I’m in McDaniel’s corner and am not even sure he should bother. Don’t mean I’d ever support or vote for Cochran.

This shows that the establishment Repubs in Mississippi are a lost cause. We need another Lincoln to overturn the party the first one constructed and which has become nothing more than Democrat light.

If they won’t even hear the case, NO MISSISSIPPI CONSERVATIVE should vote for their puke in November.

the MS GOP lacks principles, honor and competence. McDaniel has been a Republican for years and they treat him like dirt for daring to challenge their guy...its like Mean Girls for politics.

Barbour, Griffith, Cochran, Bryant, and the other establishment Republicans rejoiced and were thrilled to criticize and vilify Sarah Palin. After their statements I have no use for them as they are no different to me as are the Democrats.

This whole system was set up by the establishment to do what it has done in this case. The fix was in from the start.

I thought that’s what he was doing, taking his case to the courts. He is wasting his time thinking Cochran’s men will suddenly admit they made a big mistake. That act of humility aint gonna happen without a court order.

All Chris McDaniels has to do is run as an independent. He’d knock old geezer Thad Cochran right out of the loop. Especially since nobody even knows what the Democrat challenger’s name is. Do you?

After watching Rick Shafton explain what McDaniel had found the Mississippi GOPe must be so scared they can only push it into a court room and hope and pray the bad stuff doesn’t come out. The Cochran campaign violated lots of national GOPe rules just put into effect in 2012. The same guys are running the national GOPe and now what do they do with proof of Cochran’s violations?
