California drought: 'May have to migrate people'[out of the State]
CNBC ^ | 24 July 2014 | Mark Koba

It's going from worse to worst each week in California.

Suffering in its third year of drought, more than 58 percent of the state is currently in "exceptional drought" stage, according to the latest U.S. Drought Monitor map. That marks a huge jump from just seven days ago, when about 36 percent of the state was categorized that way.

Exceptional drought, the most extreme category, indicates widespread crop and pasture losses and shortages of water in reservoirs, streams and wells.

If the state continues on this path, there may have to be thoughts about moving people out, said Lynn Wilson, academic chair at Kaplan University and who serves on the climate change delegation in the United Nations.

100% Democrat caused misery and failure. No ideas or provision for the future, just resignation to decline. Oh and always moar government.

Now they are seriously talking about crop failures and a diaspora. And that too will be fine with the government elite. Nothing brings about change like a famine.

More Non-White People GOOD! (White people are intrinsically BAD,

White people use disproportionately more water with all the flushing, laundry (obsession with clean underwear, and frequent bathing.

Rid California of white people, end water shortage............

Guarantee whomever they decide to expatriate from the state (never going to happen due to illegality issues), would be the white middle class, at least those who are left. The lib uber rich will remain and those needed to keep their life style affloat will remain with them.

Actually this is not all bad. Who in another state would like to see an influx of expatriated LA gang bangers and SF fags showing up on your welfare rolls??

Yep. When they migrate the millions of illegals out of the state then, and only then, they can talk to me about conserving water, energy, etc. Til then they need to just shut the heck up!!

They will find some way to expatriate those pesky capitalist Americans out of state while taking all their money in the process. Count on it. An exit tax.

Yep! and if they can find a way of latching on to your future Income they’ll try that too.

and now are considering asking/making? people move out of the State because they do not have enough water to support the population?

Only actual Americans will be asked to leave the State.

I can only imagine how many faucets are in Barbra Streisand’s house. Since I have her book on her house, I’m gonna go count!

Lived here all my life and watched it go from that, to the destroyed, liberal dung heap that it is today. All over about a 40 year time span.

I'll second that.

I was born and raised in So. Cal and left about 14 years ago. The left has reeked it's ugliness on a once beautiful and hugely productive state.

California soon to resemble many a Latin American country with excessive wealth in the hands of a few and on the other side extreme poverty, with a declining middle class.

“Kinda hard when the “new rails” are only supposed to go between LA and SF.”

Actually, the “first track” will supposedly run from Bakersfield to Fresno. So it’s simply a “local” to transport illegal farm workers from field to field. Now if there are no fields because of the draught, the Toonerville Trolley may well have no “passengers.”
Everybody likes to denigrate California, but the fact it that this state supplies the nation with most of it’s fresh produce. So when you folks in the rest of the country have to pay exorbitant prices for produce grown in human waste from Mexico enjoy! PS I understand that the Mexican tomatoes have an “unusual flavor” that you may recognize.

'May have to migrate people'[out of the State]

Isn't there a government agency already in place for that explicit purpose? 4,700,000 people are a lot of toilet flushes.

Let people pay for the water in a free market — if there is a water shortage, the water will be expensive, and people will leave. Amazing how that works.
