See what happens.

By the way, one of the accused is “Alejandra” so I know that is a woman’s name.

As I said on another thread: Put the perps on a jet, fly them to the Peoples’ Republic of China, and turn them over to the police.

This seems to be a definite case of cultural insensitivity aimed once again at our future American leaders, the latino community.

The Garcia, DelCarmen, Ochoa and Guerrero youths were merely carrying their bat to a piñata party when they encountered Chinese grad student Ji. Mr Ji may have misunderstood the reason for their bat and assumed a hostile posture; or perhaps Mr Ji made a disparaging remark about neck and head tatoos as he passed them in the street. Whatever.

I am certain that George Will, Glenn Beck and Jeb Bush will be able to set this straight. Surely it was just an ‘act of love’ gone terribly wrong.

Prosecutors have yet to decide whether to seek the death penalty against Garcia and DelCarmen. Ochoa and Guerrero are not subject to the death penalty because of their age, prosecutors said, and instead would face life in prison without the possibility of parole if convicted.

This is why I'm not living in LA/Santa Monica anymore; it was once the best place on earth. I wonder how many more of these criminals poured over our border today.

You need to concentrate on doing a better copy and paste job. The article begins with:
Two minors fought back tears...

Crocodile tears.

Just my opinion.

Asians are not a leftist-certified victim group, so this murder will be dropped down the MSM memory hole.

committed crimes last Wed and Thurs, kill Ji with a baseball bat and wrench this week - attacking him possibly two times - then drive to a beach and use a baseball bat and a knife to rob more people. And THEY are crying? and we’re supposed to believe they were ‘only’ going to the beach? yeah to rob people. What is the immigration status of these losers?

One part of me wants the death penalty - for all of them - and one part of me wants to send them to China and forced labor to support the parents of the only child those poor parents were allowed to raise.

I wonder if the Chinese would use this to push back against the US; one of their best and brightest just got murdered in the US and now our country now has egg on it.

BTW, this event has the real potential of getting a whole lot of coverage due to the players involved. The potential to get really interesting. Based on comments made by some involved, they no doubt have the right people responsible for this brutal murder.

"...they and two adults faced capital murder charges"

Don't know why they bother. Kamala Harris won't enforce the death penalty in California. She wouldn't go for the death penalty on a cop-killer, or an MS-13 savage who murdered a man and his two sons when she was SF's DA, and she sure won't let it happen as the state Atty General.

“It is The Times’ policy not to publish the names of juvenile suspects unless they are charged as adults.”

This used to not be too big a deal, but now that Illinois, and likely other states, don’t allow criminal background checks, potential employers will be interviewing these KILLERS without even knowing it and therefore not even having the chance to take reasonable security precautions.

“Police said there were no indications the...attack on Ji was racially motivated.”

How could it be? Asians are NOT a protected group.

LA Times should be ashamed of itself - sympathizing with these torturers instead of the victim.

Sickening.
