"For the GOP-E, it's more fun to pretend you are doing something, rather than take the risk and do the right thing."

You've captured the essence of this whole farce.

The courts are not going to do what the spineless GOP-e doesn't have the guts to do.

Congress has gotten their balls back and also are now doing the job they were elected to do. I think Obama is going to flake out if he ends up being successfully sued and censured.

I’m against impeachment mainly since we need to make it clear that Obama is a failure and let him serve out his term in disgrace. The longer he stays in office, the more this country wakes up to adulthood. Too many idiots refuse to learn lessons except the hard way and I am certain that they’re going to unlearn if Obama is impeached. We can’t let Obama rescue his disgraceful reputation by being a martyr.

I agree...just get out of the way and let him fail.... I think the lawsuit simply shows that Obama care would never work and since it is the law, we should have it applied to all and/or not to a selected few... All of us or one of us... Like it or hate it should be fairly applied to all..

What’d I’d give for a real American leader in the WH.

Per Foreign Policy, the Borders, what a catastrophe.

I saw Oliver North on TV discussing all this, is he available?

Given the backlash, I believe Congress knew that they had to act against this, if nothing else. Frankly, I think this country deserves a little pain since we stupidly elected him twice over and have to really get a huge part of the voting public to wake up. It’s ugly, but thing is, the fools that voted him in should experience the full consequences of being stupid, idealistic, with the adolescent desire to have a ‘cool’ President in office instead of an adult President. I’m really sick of ‘cool’ being a requirement to get elected, mainly since i’ts forcing otherwise intelligent men to degrade themselves to justify running the country to a bunch of idiots who aren’t even self sufficient and actually working at real careers in the real world. I’m tired of our politicos trying to justify themselves to Hollywood, trying to get moronic adolescents to vote for them. GW didn’t cater to that crowd and to me that makes him a great President. Obama has done the opposite and he will go down in history as the first President of the United States to let celebrities pose in the Situation Room like it’s a photo-shoot for a magazine. I also blame parents for not making their brats grow UP emotionally and take on responsibility at a much earlier age. It’s this endless emotional coddling that has wrecked our country, not working mothers.

Democrats are winning because they appeal to the idiots on college campuses who want life to be one big party. Republicans are the types that present a well matched team with candidates who have experience in pretty much every area that matters and they have the right connections to get the jobs that need to be done, done. Since college students are complete and utter morons, they at the same time, are a huge voting bloc. The Democrats promise these fools a continuation of the party that “Evil uptight Republicans ruin” and make it a point to promise to take care of them, continue their easy upbringings.

So, since idiots on college campuses voted Obama and were determined to be “Part of History” Obama won in a landslide. A Republican could offer up the cure for AIDS, but without a ‘right’ marketing strategy, no one would believe the candidate and vote for the Democrat would could be opening up a bottle of smallpox, but because the Dem would have the right marketing campaign and appeal, I believe that the students would gladly inhale the smallpox virus.

Also, Democrats fight dirty and are thick as thieves. They don’t just sip champagne, they go out into the streets and guzzle beer with their target voting bloc and are almost viciously ruthless along the lines of the Mafia. If you’re a Dem, you are protected and for life if you stick with them. If you fight for them, they kill for you. Republicans have this bad bad bad habit of looking for the ‘perfect’ candidate and then find fault with every single trait. So many Republicans refuse to get out into the streets and be just as ruthless, lying, and cutthroat as the Dems to win. Republicans also need to stop letting their candidates take all the abuse, while the armchair activists cower behind the chosen candidate. Dems fight like animals if one of their own is attacked.

If Republicans had pushed back against the Dems during GW’s term, there is no way that McCain could have lost. Or Romney. Second, we need younger candidates. We could have won IF Paul Ryan had been the primary Presidential candidate, since he was as young as many Gen Xer’s and it might have pushed Obama out of office. If Palin had been run as primary candidate, with her experience and the historical aspect of running a woman as a Presidential candidate, it would have split the vote to the point where Obama might not have ended up winning. I don’t know why Republicans aren’t more risk-taking. Eager and ruthless in business, but oddly failing in politics.

“A Freeper had an excellent suggestion that I think Senator Cruz needs to hear. The suggestion was for a state governor to file for a federal injunction against any legalizations or movements of illegal aliens across national borders or state borders until the court could sort out the law which could take a year or more. That would give time for republicans to take control of the Senate and put an end to the border insurgency.”

Let's all leave a message with Sen Cruz...he has contact numbers his web page. Let's make sure he sees this suggestion.

Hasn't everyone gotten the message yet? We should not be bringing up impeachment at THIS TIME, because we would then be falling into the trap the left has set up. The left WANTS us to push impeachment, because it fires up their voter base, and big money contributions have been coming in as a result of impeachment talk by the right.
This was been discussed by commentators on Fox News, by Rush Limbaugh today on his show. As someone wrote on this subject recently, we should “hold our fire.” This is not the time to be bringing up impeachment. Not yet.

ha ha. Yes I have heard that song and dance before ... “we can’t bring up impeachment because it might make them mad and we get so scared when they get mad ...”

Impeachment hearings that expose Obama’s crimes makes independents and mushy middle types LESS likely to vote democrat and brings out the conservative base. Die hard liberals will come out to vote as always. 20 somethings and those in the hood will not be motivated to vote democrat because of impeachment. So I outright reject the entire premise as well as its cowardly defensive sentiment.

Get on offense and stay on offense. Plow ahead and shove the cowards out of the way.

"Congress has gotten their balls back and also are now doing the job they were elected to do. I think Obama is going to flake out if he ends up being successfully sued and censured."

No, they haven't and no, this won't work.

I agree with Dr. Levin: if the Congress won't exercise its own Constitutional authority over the President, why should some court be dragged in as a patsy to do the jobs that Republicans won't do?

Thus any self-respecting court will say: whether I agree with you on the merits of you case is irrelevant. It's not the place of the court to intervene in a political dispute.

There are 2 Constitutional avenues available: impeachment and government shutdown via cutting off money. Suing the President isn't one of them.

No way. McCain is an insane warhawk. If he had been elected we would be at war with every country in the middle east. Romney was a democrat. All republicans need to demand better. Or we keep getting Christie and Jeb.

You haven't read my post clearly, nor do you get the gist of the strategy. It's been determined that bringing up impeachment at this time is only firing up obozo’s base and it's racking in big buck contributions for the left. THAT is why obozo is stating that the right wants to impeach him...it's just to rack up the money! It has nothing to do with the right worrying that bringing up impeachment will make the left mad, and or that the right gets scared when they get mad. It's about the money. That is the left’s strategy..it's bringing contributions in large amounts.

It's all in the timing. This is not the time to bring up impeachment. Not yet. Hold your fire.

So your point is that ... now is not the time to impeach because it will help them raise money?

We should have already impeached Obama -— multiple times. We should have impeachment hearings immediately to educate the public on Obama’s crimes. Get on offense and stay on offense.

Can someone point me to a link that would explain this lawsuit in clear terms. What is Boehner actually suing for? Where is he suing? What would be the benefit if he won?

Frankly, I don’t understand it. If he sues Obama, and if he wins, what changes? Does the court impose monetary damages against Obama? Does Obama have to resign? Or, will it just be a meaningless victory in the sense that we will have judges that agree that Obama has overstepped his authority, and, if so, how does that change or prevent him from just ignoring the ruling and going on with what he’s doing?
