House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-LA) on Sunday did not rule out impeaching President Obama after he was asked three times by "Fox News Sunday" host Chris Wallace.
When first asked whether he would consider impeaching Obama, Scalise dove into a response pinning impeachment talk on the White House.
This might be the first White House in history thats trying to start the narrative of impeaching their own president. Ultimately, what we want to do is see the President follow his own laws, Scalise said. "The Supreme Court unanimously said 12 times the President overreached and did things he doesnt have the authority to do."
Scalise gave a similar response the second time Wallace asked if impeachment was on the table.

If I were Scalise I would have handled the question the
same way. He indicated that the WH is floating this
impeachment crap because they want to change the subject.
You can get away with this when you know that the MSM is
totally in the tank for you as they were for Slick Willie.
The more GOP lawmakers that sign on to impeachment the
sooner the MSM gets to make the GOP the issue. There is
a time for aggression and a time to shut the hell up
about things like impeachment. At least wait until some
‘Rats get brave enough to defy Obama. If that never happens
then the impeachment will have been doomed from the start,
anyway.
When you wrestle with a pig in the mud you get
dirty and the pig loves it.
What many citizens really want is for Obama to be impeached out of office. The problem is that only the Senate can decide to kick someone impeached by the House out of office. And Reid is not going to allow the Senate to kick Obama out of office, Reid also deserving to be impeached imo.
So if patriots and former Obama supporters want Obama impeached out of office this is what that they have to do. Patriots have to make sure that two thirds of senators are willing to vote to remove Obama from office after the 2014 elections if the House decides to impeach Obama after the elections.
The Obama Administration is stirring up talk of "impeachment" because they know they're not going to get the House of Representatives back in 2014 and stand a very good chance of losing the Senate this November.
All this impeachment talk is about stirring up their base to get to the polls and stop the Republican's from getting the Senate.
Personally, I wish the House of Representatives WOULD impeach Obama -- but the reality is it's a dead issue in the Senate.
I hate to say it, but it appears the best/smartest thing the Republican Party can do right now is just ignore the talk of impeachment and win the Senate in November. THEN impeach Obama's worthless ass.
At least that's how I feel about it in this post. A huge part of me says "impeaching him now is the right thing to do!" because Obama really does have to be stopped. The other part of me however says that without the Senate, impeachment really means nothing other than stirring up the Democrat base before the November elections.
Very torn on this one myself .....
Problem is that even if the GOP wins the House and the Senate, it does us little good if McCockle and Boner are stil in charge.
Spot on! I hope your words are given serious thought.
