The Progressive mantra of diversity is our strength is one of the most honored catchphrases of the left.
Like all slogans, it is a test to see if common folk are gun-toting, Bible-clinging Neanderthals or are they part of the enlightened, educated elites to whom the rest of us must surrender our individual beliefs, opinions, and thoughts.
But as with all that the Progressives say, the meaning of the words being used is warped and misrepresented.
For example, think about what Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Shultz is saying in the following:
Diversity on the bench is critical. As practitioners, you need judges who 'get it!' We need judges who understand what discrimination feels like. We need judges who understand what inequality feels like. We need judges who understand the subtleties of unfair treatment and who are willing to call it out when they see it!
Although the word diversity is the first one out of her mouth, the following description of what she feels are the very qualities that she claims to be seeking in judges indicates an almost robotic uniformity. Judges who do not conform to Wasserman Shultzs ideal are apparently not welcome. In other words (and only Debbie could come up with this logic), if your views are not totally monolithic, you are anti-diversity. Please keep in mind that this comes from the titular head of the Democratic Party.

Touchy feely, biased justice courtesy of proponents for 'diversity' for diversity's sake. Nothing mentioned about capabilities, qualifications, or actual facts.
What's needed are judges who can read and understand the laws set forth to them by our legislative system. What's needed is blind, impartial justice, not ideologues with a predisposition to discriminate based on 'diversity'.
I know what discrimination feels like ,, 25 years ago I was shunted off to a parallel career track when I dared apply (for the fourth time) for a position I had earned many times over... only to be told in private that it was one of the positions “reserved” for minorities so the company could meet a quota. I took the lateral to escape the glass ceiling of racism,, and when the company was acquired by Lockheed a short time later the entire department I was in was replaced by Lockheed employees... I quickly found out that the HR dept was blackballing me and only found employment when I found another IT company where I knew someone that didn’t rely on that.
RACISM , thy name is GOVERNMENT and you force it upon all of us to divide and conquer.
Quotas are raw, unabashed racism. Libs don’t see it that way but then libs couldn’t get through the day without a half dozen or so wildly hypocritical thoughts and actions.
