Boehner: House Has No Plans to Defund Unconstitutional Acts by Obama
CNS News ^ | July 21, 2014 | Brittany M. Hughes

House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) indicated today that if President Barack Obama takes actions that exceed his constitutional authority, the House of Representatives has no plans to use its own constitutional authority to withhold funding from those actions.

At his weekly press briefing, CNSNews.com asked Boehner: “You’ve said you disagree with calls to impeach the president over abuse of power via executive actions. But under the Constitution the House actually has the power of the purse. So, if the President takes actions that exceed his Constitutional authority, will you withhold funding for those actions in the next must-pass appropriations bill?

Why do republicans ALWAYS end up with leaders that don’t have any balls. I have three boys and when they were children of 10 they had more convictions than this moron.

Although he is a looney, Harry Reid has more testosterone in his little finger nail than Obainer has. Say what you will about ignorant Harry, he will at least stand and fight.

I am now beginning to fear we will never recover our country.

And the GOP wonders why I, and a zillion others, no longer support the GOP. Figure it out, Stupid. If you no longer have the stones to stand up for what right, then why should we support you?

Boehner doesn’t want to give up the drinking and golfing he shares with zero. He’s a lush!

J. Boehner and Daryl Issa must be using the same playbook. Rant, rave, twist and shout if you want to, but always stop just short of taking any real ‘boots on ground, or boots in the face’ kind of action. I feel like Cecil B. DeMille, jumping out of my folding Directors chair, yelling “ACTION! I want ACTION! your character is flat, tepid and without any depth. Do you even know what part you’re supposed to be playing in this scene? Do you? It doesn’t appear that you do.”

I don't know who I'm more angry with....Obama for attempting this stuff, or Boehner and the Republicans for ALLOWING it to go on.

They've both abdicated their responsibilities so they can save each others collective asses. I'm so frickin' tired of it.

I wonder what NSA and Obama have on Boehner?

It can't be that. Nothing the ptb could reveal could be worse than what Boehner is doing to the nation. Maybe Boehner's just intellectually lazy, as is Obama. They get together and figure out how to not deal with problems so they can go play golf or whatever.

Perhaps neither one of them has the intellectual capacity or analytical skills to understand the irreversible consequences their actions are having on the US.

May I say this....maybe they're both just plain dumb.

Maybe conservatives in larger and larger numbers are starting to figure out that “getting a republican in” is not the answer. Getting a Conservative, a Palin, a Cruz, etc. in is the answer. The R’s could gain the senate, but if they are all a bunch of RINO’s it won’t matter and could actually do more harm to the conservative movement than if D’s were in charge

Isn’t it funny that people who CAN see that a gun-control “law” will NOT stop crooks and crazies from using guns CAN NOT see that a spending control “law” will NOT stop the crroks and crazies in the White House from spendng whatever amount they want, for whatver reason they want?

Please explain any theory--any rational premise--that could excuse one sworn to uphold the Constitution, in funding what is known to be unco0nstitutional?

If you fund something that you have no authority to fund, are you not as guilty as the one who sought that funding?

Is Ted Cruz one of only a handful in Washington, who understand this?

It is one thing to not do something.

It is another to announce you are not going to do anything.

As long as Hairy Reed controls the senate their isn’t much the house can do to stop the bastard in the white house.

Shut down government and the media places all the blame on Republicans, and we lose the house in 2014. Then O’bastard could really go wild!

Raise your hand if you want Nazi Pelosi back in control of the house.

Anyone who still hangs their party hat at GOP headquarters is just as guilty in the destruction of our Country as the (D)’s.

I suspect that Obama already has the funds to support his unconstitutonal projects via unaccounted stimulus program funding.

Typical remarks by John Boenher who is not qualified for the Leader of the House. He should really step aside and give the job to some one who really cares about this Nation.
