To me, it seems that the problems of the ghetto are just not related to politics or who is in office.
The ghettoes of our cities have been vast wastelands for decades, through good economic times and bad, through presidencies of both Republicans and Democrats. And now, for almost six years of a black president, the ghetto is still the same disaster area it was the day Obama took office.
Democrats favorite social programs...”offshoots” of THE GREAT SOCIETY insist there be no DAD in the home...for the moms of enumerable kids to get their gubment monies..
no dad ...no AUTHORITY....no workable social order...
The ghetto will always be the ghetto until the people in the ghetto stop being ghetto.
or something like that
“To me, it seems that the problems of the ghetto are just not related to politics or who is in office.”
True. The issues are cultural and social. Parents and other adults do not practice or teach children Christian morals, personal responsibility, and respect for others. They do not hold children accountable for civilized behavior or expect them to excel academically in school. The concept of excellence as well as pride in accomplishment.
Unfortunately fourth generation self indulgent, drug addicted, unemployed welfare queens rarely make good role models or parents. The culture of the ghetto is therefore self perpetuating, particularly when community leaders and community organizers benefit economically from the culture of despair.
