Elizabeth Warren for President?
Washington Post ^ | July 18 | Dana Milbank

Posted on 07/18/2014 9:47:21 PM PDT by nickcarraway

It was one of those important-but-dull Senate hearings that don’t get broadcast even on C-SPAN 3.

An obscure subcommittee was taking expert testimony on patient safety Thursday, and only four of its 14 members bothered to show up. Several of the public seats were empty, too.

But Elizabeth Warren was in her element.

The committee’s most junior member was the first senator to arrive, five minutes early, and when it was her turn to question the witnesses she blew past the time limit. It was as though she were back at Harvard Law School, using the Socratic method to lead students to her desired conclusions in favor of stricter standards for hospitals and prescriptions.

“Dr. Jha? . . . Okay, good, and Dr. Gandhi wants to add to that? . . . Dr. Pronovost, you want to get into this? . . . Okay, so we’ve got payment responsibility. Very powerful. Dr. Disch? . . . What would be the next step? . . . Finish your sentence.”

A draft-Warren boomlet is underway, with the purpose of encouraging her to challenge Hillary Clinton for the Democratic nomination in 2016. It is eerily similar to the movement that propelled Barack Obama to challenge Clinton eight years ago even though, like Warren, Obama had then served not quite two years in the Senate. But while Warren is a compelling figure — a feisty populist at a time of inequality and resentment — her actions since arriving in the Senate suggest she has neither interest in nor aptitude for a presidential candidacy.

Has she decided which of the 56 possible Facebook gender identities she’ll be for her campaign?

The last election, involving our “first black President” was decided by about 3 states and roughly 300,000 people contained within them.

If you look at the numbers and percentage of black voters during the Clinton and Bush years you will find that Warren is going to come up short on black votes; mainly because she looks like an old, used up social worker.

Warren v/s (place any candidate here) = 46/54

I’m worried about Warren because she represents a sickness we haven’t seen in America in generations, but I don’t think she’s easily electable, nationally, because she hates America. And by the time this thing is over Americans are going to salivate over someone who loves this Republic.

If this twit can win, you must surely realize that your country is gone. I guess then we pivot to enjoying the little things left before we die.

I believe that Progressives are Communist which are out to overthrow our government.. Now if you want to play games with them so be it.. But mark my word they will overthrow our type of government and people like you will sit back and watch. Then say what happened??? I been watching this unfold since the late 1980’s.. They have already brainwashed our children!!!

and possessed of a whole new rationalization for more socialism

There is no new rationalization for socialism. It's always new words for the same wrong, very malignant set of ideas. It's our inability to show how bad the ideas are and our inability to show they are the same, tired wrong ideas leading to horrendous consequences that is the problem.

As to Hillary being owed, they'll drop her as fast as they did last time if they get the chance.

I fear we cannot defeat the demographics unless conservative whites get off their asses

And then that is only temporary

Unless minorities stand on their heads when the nation goes majority non white by 2040 its all over.

As we know it.

I warned and warned here years ago and was labeled racist and zotted by Rove loving Bushbot harpies

This is exactly why Obama and the Dems and like minded immigration groups have opened the floodgates on our southern border

Every single minority group now votes for progressive politics...bar none.

The lure of favors as non white victims of imperial racist oppression for generations is irresistible for all but a few

And lib whites get to preen....PC CONSERVATIVES do too

Its killed us...nothing fixes this short of violence I fear....awful consequence of foolishness

Are you sure anything can be done when the root cause is global drug trafficking by governments? The War on Drugs in this country failed from outset, because it was really never about ending drug use....there are oodles of people saying this.

Tying corrupt Russia Banks to money laundering and Afghanistan to being the biggest Heroin supplier around the world, it appears governments are corrupted into the politics of the drug wars. Even this illegal immigration is tied to the drug cartels....who pays drug dealers to move children across several countries? Our government....notice how the news has dropped the border crisis all of a sudden.

I have found so much info on this it boggles the mind. I mean oodles of websites and whistleblowers are saying the same thing around the world.

The global community is becoming more barbaric and violent, this global drug cartel cooperation may be the explanation of it all.....we have seen our country destabilized and dismembered in the last ten years both politically, financially, and emotionally.
