HOUSTON -- The immigration crisis is touching nerves in every pocket of America. That includes the city of Houston.
"Don't bring them here," said Bernadette Lancelin. "We don't have anything for them. They've taken too much already from my kids."
Lancelin sounded off when she learned officials had been touring a vacant Houston school a possible site to house immigrant children. Mayor Annise Parker tackled questions on the situation Wednesday.
"We have not been asked by the federal government to provide housing for immigrant children," said Parker. "Terrell Elementary School could be repurposed but at this point, it's not the preferred solution."
So what is the preferred solution for the flood of children flocking to the United States? So far no one has the answer. Lawmakers briefed Wednesday learned it costs the government $200 per day, per child and the tab keeps growing.
"Its a figure that I thought was shocking and in the whole room you heard the murmuring and shock of the costs associated with this," said Senator Marco Rubio.
"Ultimately, there have to be some consequences associated with coming into this country," said Senator John Cornyn.

“They’ve taken too much already from my kids”
I’ve felt the same way when welfare bastards get everything for free; I feel your pain, Ms. Lancelin...
The gibsmedats aren’t waking up. They’re just angry and ‘frustrated’ because somebody else is getting their goodies from the government.
“The gibsmedats arent waking up. Theyre just angry and frustrated because somebody else is getting their goodies from the government.”.
I agree. The blacks no longer are important to odumbos plan for total destruction and eventual control over this country. Blacks are being thrown under the bus like the rest of us but will still vote for the ba$tard because he resembles them and is PARTIALLY black.
I hear ya...
I think these “mothers” are more upset that someone else is getting part of “their” stash.
Hey Doug. Good to see you out...
Well, one would hope they’d wake up. Nothing has seemed to do it yet. Massive unemployment..., nope, that doesn’t matter either.
Talk about a group of people who have been abused by their masters...
And yet here we are the Republicans who are guilty of the same thing in essence.
Where's that "like" button!
"The gibsmedats arent waking up. Theyre just angry and frustrated because somebody else is getting their goodies from the government."
Doug mentioned something along the same line of reasoning. One would hope they would start waking up.
As I mentioned to Doug though, as Republicans we have been led astray too by leaders who don’t give a damn about our nation or us.
All politicians in this world are polluted. The GOP, as yet, has managed not to “boo” at God explicitly, whereas Democrats did. So for the time being that remains a relative vantage point. However, more than passive non-opposition to God is going to be needed. People who care enough to embrace God into their lives will be needed.
Even that could prove useful. When they say gibs me dat Big Ears in front of the Congress to be impeached.
So you think the gibsmedats would support impeachment of the man for gibbin to the wrong folks?
Can I say gibbin? It’s not “gibbon”...
This touches on something that is a big problem for me.
Who do you dislike the most, the enemy that comes straight at you, or the enemy within that should know your cause and respect it, but then betrays you behind your back?
The GOPe betrays us from within. Furthermore, they say one thing and then either back or stand idle while the Demcorats do what they do. Our own team enables the godless.
Our team doesn’t respect God in the slightest. If they did, they would be standing up to evil.
Not trying to give you a hard time. I’m just frustrated as can be that we don’t have advocacy in Washington, D. C.
When you get a powerful enough combination of evil and desperation, you might. It would take a bipartisan effort to convict the Clown in Chief.
I believe it is a folly if we come at this from the viewpoint of putting trust in any human. It is mostly damage mitigation that matters now. The GOP can buy time for evangelists to do their thing.
Ms. Bernadette Lancelin needs to get in contact with Sheila Jackson-Lee and see if she
can do anything about the situation. Jackson-Lee doesn’t represent all of Houston
but her district is mostly in Houston.
Would Jackson-Lee be able to dissolve the super glue between her lips and Barack’s hiney?
Something like this is going to have to eventually happen, though. And so this whole circus may be to a good purpose in the end.
I think the entire thing was set up to steal $4 billion from the taxpayers. And only a few people will be collecting. Most of them politicians.
Well, and some organizations that have been well bribed.
I agree with your concept trust in God vs man.
Sadly I cannot agree that the republicans will facilitate more time for our evangelists. For me there are Christian as well as secular evangelists.
Our secular evangelists would give more time to our Christian evangelists, if the GOPe weren’t helping to defeat them. And by defeating them, the GOPe cut all evangelists short.
The GOPe is a bigger threat than the a Democrats right now, because they defeat our ability to fight back in ways the Democrats can’t.
They silence the voices of our best and brightest, The Democrats couldn’t do that. We could fight that. We have no ability to fight the GOPe. It uses all it’s power to defeat us.
