Wasn’t Eric Holder calling us all cowards for not having a discussion on race? BTW, in the civilian large corporation world I can’t imagine a faster way of getting fired that does not involve setting the place on fire.

Lesson to be learned.... Don’t say anything about a certain protected class of people even though it’s 100% true.

PC is going to get a lot of people killed in the long run. You can count on it.

"It's important to shine a light on this anti-cop mentality that has so contaminated America's inner cities," Bergin said after airing the widow's comments and showing a memorial for her husband. "The underlying cause of all of this, of course, young black men growing up without fathers."

Tell the truth. Get fired. America, 2014.

See this reporter should have left his opinion inside himself anyway. The news segment is for the news. If he wanted to show more of the police side then give them more time and the cop killer relatives less.

"It is News 12's policy that reporters must be objective and not state personal opinions on-air," the station said in a statement Tuesday.

Um... news agencies and reporters stick their opinions into the news all the time. They do it by choosing which stories to run and in their language describing the stories.

Probably the issue wasn't so much inserting his opinion into the story. It was more likely the overt way he did it, or the fact that he was pointing out the politically incorrect fact that kids raised without fathers don't fare as well as their peers from intact families.

Here is the specific "crime" he committed:

"Bergin said in his report that the underlying cause of an anti-police mentality is young black men growing up without fathers. "It's important to shine a light on this anti-cop mentality that has so contaminated America's inner cities," Bergin said after airing the widow's comments and showing a memorial for her husband. "The underlying cause of all of this, of course, young black men growing up without fathers."

As if news reporters don’t “include” their opinions all of the time. You just can’t be clear about it.

From the story:
The National Association of Black Journalists' president, Bob Butler, challenged Bergin's connection between young black men growing up without fathers and anti-police sentiments and said that Bergin went beyond the standards of a news reporter by inserting his views on the story
I don't see a quote from the president of the "National Association of White Journalists". I wonder why?

This is a war. The reporter needs to get a lucrative job offer from a more responsible news source and the station needs to be pounded by the viewers and their ratings hurt until they correct their behavior.

What he said sounds like something Bill Cosby might say.
I have heard Cosby tell the truth...even when you could see in his face that it hurt him to speak such a truth.

I have another truth to speak... the plight of African Americans can for the most part be laid at the foot of the democrat party.... The party of segregation and attempts to limit the freedom of blacks to vote.

They were afraid that the blacks in the south would vote for republicans.

I do marvel at how thoroughly the dems have hidden the truth from nearly all African Americans....

The republican party was founded to right the wrongs done to the blacks in this country, Lincoln was the first republican president, Martin Luther king was a republican...it was the republican party that firmly supported the civil rights legislation.... How many blacks know these facts?

If you really want to annoy someone, point out something obvious that they are trying hard to ignore.

How dare a white person express an opinion about the protected class.
Black people can even say the “N-Word” and nothing will ever happen. They can call white people ‘crackers’.

But you better know your place whitey!
