RANCHO PALOS VERDES, Calif. -- Business magnate Donald Trump is fighting -- not over an investment -- but to keep the Stars and Stripes flying from a 70-foot flagpole at his Southland Trump National Golf Course.
CBS Los Angeles reports that the American flag has been the focus of a standoff between Trump and state officials, who say the business investor has not taken the proper legal steps to keep the flag flying.
The California Coastal Commission claims that Trump has not filed the necessary coastal permits to fly the flag in its current location. The commission also says he has not paid a required $10,000 fee.

I fought for it and what good did it do. The majority of people infesting this country now are “offended” by the American flag. Barry’s “kiddie” invasion is only going to make the hatred of this country and its flag worse than it already is. The politician dicks now want to charge Americans 10 grand to fly the American flag? Great.
Bet on Donald. He has more money than the state to endure a legal fight.
The man is a loud mouth but he is right about this. It is his property, there is no danger to his neighbors, he has the right to fly his flag on his property

I am amazed at the number of stories of problems Americans are having flying their flag because of HOA, permits, etc. IT IS THE AMERICAN FLAG!!!
He does seem to be a vulgar man, but I must say I was impressed earlier this year with the job he did on Doral. He likes golf, to be sure, but his bold renovation of that course met with unopposed, if not universal, acclaim when Patrick Reed ( another man of the earth ) won there back in March.

Begs the question, why would anyone complain about a symbol which means their dearly paid for extremely fragile freedom?
I suppose they would not have no problem flying a Palestinian Flag or a Cuban Flag.

From time to time ‘flying the flag’ issues pop-up all around the
country. It isn’t a California problem; it is a ‘too many liberals
across the nation’ problem. If California is that bad why don’t you
find yourself a website based somewhere other than Fresno,
California?
Or a Mexican flag.
