Senate Dems introduce bill that would override Hobby Lobby ruling

Noah told you it was coming and now here it is. Pandermonium:

The bill, developed in consultation with the Obama administration, would require for-profit corporations like Hobby Lobby Stores to provide and pay for contraceptive coverage, along with other preventive services, under the Affordable Care Act…

“Your health care decisions are not your boss’s business,” said Senator Patty Murray, Democrat of Washington, who led efforts by Senate Democrats to respond to the court ruling. “Since the Supreme Court decided it will not protect women’s access to health care, I will.”…

Ms. Murray’s bill criticizes the Supreme Court’s majority opinion and repudiates it by declaring that “employers may not discriminate against their female employees” in coverage of preventive health services.

To this end, it says that an employer “shall not deny coverage of a specific health care item or service” where coverage is required under any provision of federal law. Moreover, it says, this requirement shall apply to employers notwithstanding the Religious Freedom Restoration Act.

“Your health care decisions are not your boss’s business,” she huffed, while insisting that your boss pay for those decisions. Incidentally, I’ve seen some confusion online today about whether Congress can overturn a Supreme Court decision. Sure they can, if the decision is based on the Court’s interpretation of legislation rather than an interpretation of the Constitution. Congress can always change its own laws.

And I’m sure Republicans will find a friendly judge who will throw out such a law just as they do with legally passed constitutional amendments barring homosexual “marriage”.

Did the GOP begin impeachment last week?

No.
Nor will it this week.

The only party moving forward is Obama’s Fascist Party
with abetting and help from the miserable EXEMPT GOP.

I agree. So why should he pay for it?

If the Democrats want to pick a fight here, a fight they will get. At least picking a fight is better than Barack’s cowardice. (Also this would be DOA in the House.)

Obviously this won’t pass the house and it most likely it won’t be brought up on the floor. It’s just a political stunt to keep the “war on women “ alive.

” “Your health care decisions are not your boss’s business,” said Senator Patty Murray, Democrat”

And it’s not my responsibility to pay for the enabling and consequences of your slutty decisions.

“it says that an employer “shall not deny coverage of a specific health care item or service” where coverage is required under any provision of federal law”

So braindead hideous bi*** Patty Murray wants companies to pay for partial birth abortions. I hate this pig with such passion, if I saw her walking across a highway, I’d hammer on the accelerator!

LET’s REMEMBER:

ONLY If a bill has passed in BOTH the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate and has been approved by the President, or if a presidential veto has been overridden, the bill becomes a law and is enforced by the government.

This bill has NO CHANCE of passing the House today.

IF however, both houses are taken over by Democrats as in 2006 and a Democrat is president as in 2008-2010, THAT will be the end of the Religious Freedom Restoration Act.

Choose and Vote well in 2014 !!

Why doesn’t the GOP introduce a bill to override the woman’s right to murder her baby?

Nice how the Demoncrats can have it both ways, isn’t it?
If they don’t like a state electoral mandamus, they get a judge to toss it out; if they don’t like SCOTUS ruling, they look to pass a law. CWII, coming soon.
