Streptococcus pyogenes is found in the environment and has nothing to do with immigration or particular countries.

Uhm, you a doctor? I think not. Neither am I but I am a zoologist and took a year of microbiology. Did a lot of reading on this back then.

There are FIVE species of bacteria which release the toxins which attack connective tissue - a condition known as necrotizing fasciitis. ALL five can be spread through contact with infected fecal matter or blood, so they do not just spread from the environment but also due to unsanitary conditions in the home or community.

The disease is rare but not unheard of, especially in some of the countries where these illegals are coming from.
