July 4, 2014 | Jim Robinson

Ok, this is just the germination of the plan.

We have independent units from the Bolinas Border Patrol and the Central Valley Citizens militia joining forces with independent citizens militia units of Texas to defend our southern border in Texas, to protest Obama's lawless open borders policies and to rally support for Governor Perry to officially call out Guard units and Texas militia units at his disposal to defend the border!! Lawsuits will not cut it. The invasion is happening now. Action must be taken NOW!!

FReepers, Patriots, Militia members: Prepare to answer the call!!

Tote along enough cold water to avoid that (yeah, this sounds like telling you to come in out of the rain).

that may be true, but the Liberals in California make far more noise than the Conservatives do, and that’s got to stop.

We, as Conservatives (and Christians) can NO LONGER be silent. Silence is seen as acceptance of all things being done.

It’s past time to raise HELL.

This is NOT the best place to care for these “chillun” even from that point of view. They are being used as shameless political pawns.

If churches and private charities would like to assist these children and their families AT HOME, they are more than welcome to do that. An America that declines into being some kind of chaotic doormat for the world will not be worth living in.

Where is the call list. Put me on it

If someone on FR is organizing a live action duty list for the Texas border, I don't know about it.

I'm going to check some offline groups tomorrow to see who's doing what.

God bless everyone who can spend some time on doing this. In a world where almost everyone is concerned with humanitarian solutions for criminals, it’s nice to know that there are people who aren’t going to buy hoax sob stories or show mercy to those who don’t comprehend mercy.

MCallen, Texas - An onslaught of immigrants are at the southern border. Washington’s fighting over it and American taxpayers are paying for it. The families and tens of thousands of kids are left in limbo.

What do you do with them?

Charlie LeDuff is just back from the banks of the Rio Grande to show us the scope of a very serious situation.

We’re talking about 100,000 women and children coming up from central America and nobody knows what to do with them, so we’re letting them go. Why? The answer’s pretty simple: Washington, D.C.

Play the video in the player to get a full report from The Americans with Charlie LeDuff.

Watch video http://www.myfoxdetroit.com/story/25918867/the-americans-with-charlie-leduff-immigration-across-the-rio-grande

BTW costs the taxpayer $2,200 to bury the one’s who die.

The one’s interviewed say 0bma invited them. How sick is that?

Calling out the National Guard would not be a Good Idea.

Because it really belongs to the federal government, and is just loaned to the states. By that I mean ever member is also a member of the federal Reserve, Army or Air Force. They can be called to federal duty, as individuals or units.

The Texas State Guard, OTOH, is a pure select militia. They are only under the order orders of the Governor. As others have pointed out, the Texas governor can also call up the reserve militia, which is pretty much everyone, men and women alike, who are at least 18 and not more than 60 years of age;

But those are only the persons “liable to serve”, us old guys can still volunteer, AFAIK.

The State Guard has the advantage of being organized, and disciplined, in the Constitutional meaning of the term.

Both the State Guard and the reserve militia will have to supply their own arms and ammunition, and in so doing they will probably be breaking federal law.. but then again, so is Obama.

Do you know the meaning of "interdiction"?

the action of preventing someone or something from going or being taken somewhere

Which is important because Bush put all the National Guard units under the command of the President, removing the Governors as the ultimate authority.

The President has been able to call up the National Guard since before WW-II. The feds pay (most of) the bills so they call the tune. They were so called for WW1, WW2, Korea, selectively for Vietnam, Desert Shield/Storm, Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom.

It wasn't Bush, he merely exercised his authority to call them up. An Authority which derives from Art I sec 8 of the Constitution, which gives Congress the power..

To provide for organizing, arming, and disciplining, the Militia, and for governing such Part of them as may be employed in the Service of the United States, reserving to the States respectively, the Appointment of the Officers, and the Authority of training the Militia according to the discipline prescribed by Congress;

Historically the states neglected their militias, failing to keep them trained, and equipped. Congress also failed to provide appropriate organization, discipline (meaning standard training, standard calibers, etc) and most importantly for arming them.

State Guards, which several states have, cannot by law be called involuntarily into federal service. They can be "loaned" to other states, via bilateral agreements, and have been for natural disasters and such. State Guards may not however train with arms, per laws passed by Congress.

Yes and from the article:

It didn’t matter that ALL 50 governors objected to this concentration of power in the hands of the executive – the Congress simply moved forward by changing the balance of powers through legislation

And from the Constitution (Art 1 Sec. 8) :

Congress shall have the power ...

To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions;

In the case of natural disasters, they are Executing the Laws of the Nation. Congress makes those laws.

But the National Guard hasn't been a true state militia for around 100 years. Every member, and I was one, is also a member of the federal reserve of the appropriate service, Air Force or Army. The ID card carried by a Guardsmen, is identical to that carried by a member of the Reserve, which I also was a member of before and after being a Guardsman. The states do not pay the Guardsmen, except in those rare instances when they are called out for state duty. Even then the feds often pay, but not from the same DoD account. Not even the full time cadre. The only exception is the state staff, the Adjutant General and his staff.

If we had a real President, he would be calling them out to repel this invasion, instead of instigating it. This is one of the reasons the Constitution provides that only a Natural Born Citizen can be President. Obama isn't one under the meaning of the term understood at the time the Constitution was written and ratified. (Unless B.H. Obama, the Kenyan drunk wasn't really his father) Thus he's not a real President, and his actions reflect that.
