The Democrats' best shot in Mississippi
Politico ^ | June 26, 2014 | ANNA PALMER

Democrats were crossing their fingers that Chris McDaniel would be the Republican nominee in Mississippi.

But since Sen. Thad Cochran has prevailed, they are trying to do the unthinkable — unseat a six-term GOP senator.

McDaniel supporters are irate that Cochran won a GOP primary by reaching across the aisle. Now some of his backers are ambivalent about whether they’ll come out at all in November — and if they don’t, that could create a rare opening for a Democrat here.

Seriously I am agreeing with Hilary “At this point what difference does it make” if we elect an RINO or a Democrat.

The dems just want to take all our money. The GOP wants to ‘crush’ us.

Yes conservatives should vote for the candidate that calls them racist and brags about all the big spending pork he brings to his state. Yup, that a great plan you have. /NOT

“If we can’t take the Senate without Mississippi - then we’ll have to think about it...”

Thank you for being the voice of reason.

People have to think strategically — this is not about one person, the control of the Senate is at stake.

Longbow1969: “Republicans will realize dethroning Reid is more important than holding a grudge about the slimy way Cochran won.”

houeto: “Republicans may. Conservatives WILL NOT!”

Houeto — Do you really think/mean that conservatives PREFER REID as majority leader and prefer a Dem majority? Anyone who does that is NO conservative. PERIOD.

Voting for dems isn’t the answer. Leave the top of the ballot blank. Let Childers win bya LACK of conservative votes for Cochran. Otherwise it looks like the state WANTS a liberal.

The RINOs will stall the nomination of pres. Appointees? Didn’t the RINOS give up that right? They signed it away....

So what else you got?

Why do you keep trying to guess the thoughts in other people's head's? No one said anything about preferring Reid.

You apparently can't grasp that rejection of one thing is not acceptance of another by default.

What we PREFER is not to be back-stabbed, called RACIST and generally treated like redheaded stepchildren by someone who IS SUPPOSED to be on our side.

When there are only TWO options, if you reject one, you get the other one by default. Is that so hard to understand?

There is no third option. Either the Dems or the Republicans will control the Senate and the House.

LOL! Yep. Lot's of good stuff. I never knew so many of my fellow Freepers could be so eloquent in their anger.

-----

People have just had it. The Tea Party may be relatively new, but conservatism is not, and while not all conservatives are part of the TEA movement, almost all Partiers consider themselves conservative.

It's one thing to hold your nose vote for someone you HOPE will attempt to reach the goal......

but it is a whole other ballgame when they demand you allow them to fling poo on you while you do it!

-----

I think I'll draw a fork on a postcard and sent it to the GOPe so THEY can cut it out and stick it in themselves.

I'm tired of doing their work for them, and as far as I'm concerned THEY ARE DONE!

LOL! If you pick from two things, the choice is your to make, or not make....which means its voluntary. Voluntary ALSO means you have the ability not to 'choose' at all

Your confusing what the country will be left with what we choose, but what we choose ISN'T what we wind up with, it's what the 'powers that be' WANT. The ability for us to choose is an illusion. Why do you not get that?

-----

There is no third option.

Your mistake is thinking there was ever a second.

Our enemies have to fear us...

IF we can’t take the Senate without Cochran - then we need to vote for him. You’re right - think strategically... Control of the Senate trumps most everything.

But IF we can take the Senate without Cochran then we need to stay home and let him lose... it sends the right message.

I understand your position. It’s a close call... I’m going for ‘vote’ for Cochran IF it’s the only way to control the Senate... and “let him lose” if we can take the Senate without him. Also, anytime down the road that we’ve got the Senate, dump the guy...

But I’m OK with your choice too. I know I would never be able to vote for Jeb Bush...

By Nov I will probably stay home, vote for Shawn O’Hara or heck I might even vote for Thad by then. Right now I am so mad at Haley and his minions that I might be a little more crazy than usual and talk out out of my head.
I think if you read my posts I never said I was positively going to vote for Travis. Thanks for caring. :>)
