Anybody remember the politician who crossed the Rio Grande on an elephant with a mariachi band?

by maverick Republican challenger in Pennsylvania, Raj Peter Bhakta, who managed to get only 34 per cent of the votes in the 13th District against his Democratic incumbent who received 66 per cent of the votes.

Bhakta made national headlines not too long ago when trying to prove a point about lax security at the borders of America, he crossed a point at the Rio Grande with an elephant entourage and a Mariachi band in tow.

If I was a liberal Democrat in 2014, I’d be laughing and crapping on everyone too.

They’re getting everything they want and the only controversy is daring to speak out against them.

I don’t know anything else about his politics but that was an awesome stunt.

The congressman should have stood in front of the band and sang made up songs right there on the spot denouncing anmesty. But he was not that quick on his feet. No repugnicant seems to be quick on their feet. If I was a congressman, I would have a megaphone, or a microphone, a long power cord, and a little guitar amp in my office at all times to make my voice louder than theirs.

They did bring a mariachi band, though. Doesn’t that soften the fascism?

Sadly it was 8 freakin years ago and our borders are wider open than they’ve ever been.
