Try the local Methodist church around here. The organist is flaming. Sorry, it’s a gay profession.

>> You’d be shocked to hear the lives of some of the early disciples of Christ. St. Paul after whom Churches are named and whose Epistles are read as part of the Bible was a witness to the stoning of the Church’s First Martyr- St. Stephen and was once a mass killer of disciples of Christ.<<

After his conversion and being put in a leadership position by Christ?

This priest told me the Pope’s Italian isn’t to hot either.

Again, an anecdote is an unreliable indicator of anything. Sorry.

Yes, which an earlier post in this thread mentioned -- that the Pope is getting himself a new translator, to help clear up misunderstandings. But in the specific case of what he said about homosexuality, he was simple and clear in Italian, and then the press mistranslated the first part, chopped the catechism part off, and ran with it.

Just keep living in that dream world where ministers and their flock are living unblemished lives in which no child or young adult is ever abused or hurt. Just believe that those butch women ministers are not radical lesbians who worship Gaia but, in fact, follow the Bible religiously. And those divorced gay Protestant priests and ministers are just men who have irreconcilable differences with their “spouses” - rather than one partner was probably caught out too many times at a rest station in New Jersey.

I think you misplaced “glass” for “gifts” there but no matter.

I’ve already said that flyer (the one in the OP) sounds like just another “gay pride” event. There’s no argument from me there. The wording is at best poor and misleading.

However the bottom line is, whether or not the event itself will be centered around the “Courage” apostolate I referenced. Did you go to that website?

Yeah, no kidding. Attempts to support the RCC get a little pathetic at times.

My sarcastic FRiend, your bile and spite are still not statistical studies. Just not. Nowhere have I claimed to know the answers; but just as you know that your Church has many faithful members who are innocent of the accusations made against the church as a whole because of the actions of a few, I know the same about the broad sweep of non-Catholic Christians. If you have a reputable source of actual stats, I’d like to read about it. Gossip and “empirical data” just don’t cut it for me.

I spent the greater part of last week defending your church against horrible propaganda around the Tuam home in Ireland, which the left is trying to gin up into an anti-Catholic scandal. How about demonstrating your Christian chops instead of playing nyah nyah? It unbecomes someone who knows ¡stars!

You miss the point. Popes have been saints and martyrs and popes have been sinners. Hence the guarantee by Christ, the Gates of Hell Shall Not Prevail Against His Church.”

And those divorced vow of celibacy breaking gay Protestant Catholic priests and ministers are just men who have irreconcilable differences with their “spouses” - rather than one partner was probably caught out too many times at a rest station in New Jersey are "sinners" and "only human just like the rest of us (which is a real indictment against the Catholics who own those priests in their admission of what's in their heart)

Just keep pretending that the Catholic church has a spotless history, that it has never done anything wrong, that it never dealt wrongly with those priests who did molest little boys, that it never turned a blind eye to those situations, that it never tried to intimidate people into silence by threatening them with their eternal salvation, that its leaders were never immoral, that it never compromised on sin......

Right it’s a bit confusing but this is the event to which I’m referring and currently investigating.

It’s the Tuesday upcoming, the 24th. I still haven’t heard back from Gordon Creamer.

Of course, you completely misread my piece. I was again, saying for the people who write here to look to their own house and clean it up before attacking others. And your houses are in bad shape, as well.

Both of you stop attacking other church organizations. Both traditions have pluses and minuses and have made vast contributions to mankind; that's why I asked for reliable statistics on the problem areas, because stats are dry and objective.

Every church is made up of mere mortals. If any of us were perfect, we would not still be here on earth, striving for the "death to self" that marks the Christian. See post 239.

The Catholic Catechism is clear on homosexual conduct. It is an intrinsically disordered evil.

Then "Baltimore we have a problem!" This is no Wash Post or NYTs article reporting on something. This is the official website of the Archdiocese of Baltimore. Again the official announcement:

Celebrate Pride Month with the St. Ignatius Community!

Description: Embracing God’s Gifts, St. Ignatius’ Gay & Lesbian ministry, is inviting you to join us on Friday, June 13th at 7 PM in the Chapel of Grace, where we will give thanks to God for the gift of family. Through music, readings, prayer and a spirit of gratitude, we will gather to celebrate being members of God’s family. Please contact Gordon Creamer at 410.236.8225 if you are interested in participating in the planning process. All are welcome and please bring a friend! A light Reception will follow in Ignatian Hall. To learn more about the Embracing God’s Gifts Ministry go to http://st-ignatius.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/Embracing-Gods-Gifts-Revised1.pdf

Location: St. Ignatius Church - Baltimore 740 N. Calvert Street, Baltimore, MD 21202

More at source site from OP.

So you might say (and have) 'well the Prots are ordaining gays as bishops.' True statement. Perhaps ask some Prots and Evangelicals here on FR what they would do if they received a notification in which their church officially recognized a homosexual pride event. I think most here would say their church would never do such a thing or that they are now going to a church which honors the Lord and His Word.

So please find someone, some Prot here who agrees with the Archdiocese of Baltimore decision to hold this event. Then see if such a Prot or Evangelical would still be attending that church. Or more likely, the elders would remove the pastor.

Truth is traditional Catholics can't do a thing about this at all. You have no say in the decisions of an archdiocese. You must walk lock step with your church 'leaders' and hope they change their minds. Much like the Catholics who had to endure the middle ages and all the bad popes. So you are stuck with very bad and evil leadership which each day traditional Catholics claim can derive their authority from the apostles.

Another point. I also see here a lot how wonderful the Baltimore catechism is. Yet we have the archdiocese of the same city endorsing a sodomite pride event.

Please taketh out that beam my FRiend...
