I buy the generic pork rinds made locally for dog treats. Way cheaper than anything sold as dog treats and they love them.

The review was pretty startling... but thats as it should be given the nature of the Issue with the product.

Thank you.

To: MeshugeMikey; All

This is what I’ve been giving my dogs (both >70lbs) for the past year

http://www.amazon.com/Natures-Domain-Grain-Free-Treats-2-25lbs/dp/B008CCGMUA/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?s=pet-supplies&ie=UTF8&qid=1400506967&sr=1-1-fkmr0&keywords=nature%27s+domain+buffalo+jerky

They get 1/2 to 1 piece a day for being ‘good puppies’.

FWIW, I believe both dogs were suffering kidney effects while I was giving them the (Costco) Kingdom Pets Chicken Jerky, as they now only do #1 a couple times a day. They also frequently had runny stools, just as noted in the Amazon reviews. I didn’t notice how often they were going outside to do their business until I was off work, but the frequency with which my Shepherd was running to the door desperately needing to go pee was disturbing...now completely resolved.

I supposed I’m just lucky I was only giving them only 1 piece/day split between them.

Getting you ready for this fall’s food inflation cliff.

Glad you saw it before the mod zapped my comment.

Not sure if it was my trash-talking Costco or linking to the Amazon reviews...

“Go into a pet store these days and many of the treats are prominently labeled “Made in USA”. The market at work.”

I’ve read that during and after WWII Americans refused to buy anything made in Japan. The Japanese re-named one of their cities to Usa. All their products said “Made in USA.”

Don’t buy any kind of food from the Dollar Store.

I’m going to try this again without my comment getting zapped:

With no opinion proffered on Costco (where these Chicken Jerky treats are distributed), check the comments as FYI ‘before you buy’:

The report says that doe not mean that the unsafe ingrediants are not in “USA” products.

That includes dog toys. Why would anyone let their dog play with toys from China? Who could possibly trust the paint dyes?

<<<<<>>>>>>

I am absolutely convinced that my golden retriever which passed away in 2007 at age 5 was killed by the imported chinese squeaky balls.

Yeah. I don’t mind excerpts for sites that require it, but when I’m just being teased, I don’t bother.

My family avoids ANY food product made in China. Actually, my wife cooks up the meals for our dog custom, freezes it in baggies and that’s what he eats.

I read a couple of years ago that there is a culture of cutting corners to save money in China and they were not above using poor sub standard parts and ingredients, even when they knew that the results could be disastrous.

Id bet that most of their product such as this fine piece of jewelery...comes from Red China!
