As President, Obama Makes Greatest Baseball Player Ever
Townhall.com ^ | May 19, 2014 | John Ransom

Posted on 05/19/2014 5:18:31 AM PDT by Kaslin

This week President Obama will visit Cooperstown, New York, ostensibly to promote tourism.

“President Barack Obama says he's heading to the Baseball Hall of Fame to stress how tourism can lead to good-paying jobs,” reports the Associated Press.

But I think that there’s a high probability that Obama believes the Baseball Hall of Fame will induct him into their hallowed halls as the greatest baseball player to ever live.

And this would make sense.

The man got a Nobel Peace Prize and he has sown nothing but war. War at home and war abroad.

The man has been declared by his liberal acolytes the greatest and blackest and gayest president to ever live. And whatever else may be said, he certainly isn’t the greatest president ever, while Bill Clinton is still blacker than Obama has ever been.

Gayest?

OK, I’ll give him that.

But in general it all adds up to a man to whom much has been given, while nothing has been expected.

If there is a steroid for the ego, Obama abuses it.

Best baseball player ever?

It’s not the most ridiculous honor ever proposed for Obama, especially given his steroid abuse.

So it doesn’t surprise me that Newsweek reports Obama allies are asking the president to appoint a CEO for Obamacare. Nobel Prize, no peace; healthcare reform, no healthcare.

See a pattern?

“The recommendation,” says Newsweek, “in a report due to be released by the Washington-based Center for American Progress think tank, calls for a major shakeup within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, which presided over last year's disastrous rollout of the federal market portal, HealthCare.gov.”

CEO, czar, whatever: It’s all the same thing for a president whose best idea was to write a book so he could exploit his race and so to allow others to intensely peer into the mirror at which Obama never tires gazing.

There is no doubting that this report is a large coming down for Obamacare and for the president.

There is remarkable acrimony behind the scenes by Democrats regarding Obamacare, which they once declared the greatest legislative achievement of the greatest president in the history of the world, black, gay, or shortstop.

And it illustrates the most pressing defect of Obama’s presidency and the legacy he’ll leave behind.

Obamacare isn’t even fully implemented and it already stinks. It stunk before it passed the House. It stunk before it passed the Senate. It stunk before they passed it just to see what was in it.

And even allies are now admitting it.

“Reform advocates,” continues Newsweek, “including CAP pressed the same idea on the White House after HealthCare.gov's October crash, the first in a series of setbacks that posed a political challenge for Obama and his Democratic allies. The administration opted instead for a more narrowly defined health technology czar to rescue the site.”

And yet still Obamacare stinks.

Abraham Lincoln, a master of logic—therefore a Republican not a Democrat— has often been credited with this question, which goes directly to the point: “How many legs does a dog have if you call the tail a leg?”

To which he answered: “Four. Calling a tail a leg doesn't make it a leg.”

Calling Obamacare the “Affordable Care Act” doesn’t make it affordable.

Calling Obamacare healthcare “reform” doesn’t make it good.

Calling Obamacare a “success” because midterm elections are coming up doesn’t mean that it is a success.

It would be like calling Obama “Mr. President,” which, of course, is ridiculous.

He’s more believable as a baseball player.

And that’s the legacy America will have to live with for a long, long time.

We have had our little prance in the woods with the petulent child Barack. Now it is time to clean up the mess and fix all the broken toys laying around. And while we are at it let’s make sure those demotwits never elect another president.

let’s make sure those demotwits never elect another president

We could probably do that if we could change the Electoral College into a form where the elected Representative of the House of Representatives, from each district, had to vote in the Electoral College for the President and was bound to vote in the manner his/her constituents had voted for President. If this method, of electing a President, had been in play during 2012, zer0 would have been one termer. We also should be aware the demotwits want a popular vote election process for electing a President. The demotwits are working feverishly to make a popular vote election a reality. The demotwits know this is their only method of maintaining power at the executive level and have made significant progress toward abolishing the Electoral College as is Constitutionally written. The alternative is to continue to fight the demotwits, as you suggest and as is being done, till they (the demotwits) are defeated. May sanity persevere and we know the demotwits have no sanity therefore this fight will be an ongoing process, won by hard work. Since am positive you are familiar with hard work, as Conservatives everywhere are, the outcome will be hard won but won nevertheless. (mho)

Here in Michigan there is considerable support for doing away with our winner take all electoral allotment and going to a system where electoral votes would be awarded according to districts won.

Knowing you have studied the map and the red wave consuming the map I do pray that a modification proportionate to the heart and soul of America may one day be the heart and soul of the Electoral College for America is a Conservative nation and as is know by you, Creek. Liberals lie and only seek to maintain their own power through those lies. Logic and reason, as all know, is not a liberal’s strong suit therefore utilizing logic the massive red of the map tells each of us that Conservatism has taken America thereby creating our witnessing fear for all liberals. The liberals are sensing their plans could slip away from their grasp. May the liberals’ plan slip from their hands and return rightfully to those that are not children, as the liberals are children, and into the hands of the adults. When the plan slips from the liberals’ hands, I will declare a holiday, for me and mine, and dance in the street; for there will be no reason not to dance in joyous celebration.

“Baseball is a game of failure”...not sure where this quote came from, but it seems appropriate for this induction suggestion.

Obama is an opposing team player’s line-drive foul ball in the face of Uncle Sam, sitting in his VIP seat at a home game.

Has he won the Pulitzer yet?

We haven’t read the essays he authored at Columbia and Harvard, (they’re sealed by court order).

So maybe the Pulitzer Committee could issue the prize based upon the merit these essays MIGHT have?
