Subway removes ham and bacon from nearly 200 stores and offers halal meat only after 'strong demand' from Muslims
Almost 200 branches of Subway have cut ham and bacon from their menus, serving halal meat in response to calls from their Muslim customers.
The sandwich chain said 'following a strong demand from our Muslim customers', 185 outlets in the UK and Ireland have introduced the meat, which is prepared under strict Islamic rules.
In Arabic the word halal means 'permitted' or 'lawful' and defines anything that is allowed or lawful according to the Qur'an.
It is often used to indicate food - particularly meat - has been prepared in accordance with Muslim principles and techniques.

At the Naval Academy Club, they only serve fish on the buffet during Lent. Luckily I am Catholic, but if you want the buffet during Lent, you better like fish. It really is no big deal to cater to a Religion if you approve of the food you eat.
Per the first Jerusalem counsel, I personally refrain from eating meat sacrificed to a false “god” or idol like allah, so hallal meat is off limits for me.
Note, this is not because I think allah is anything but mohammed’s fever dream, but because to financially support a false religion like islam is abhorrent to me and to participate give it credence as something acceptable.
So, I guess no Subway for me in England.

UK society created its own religious and moral vacuum. In rushed the disease know as Islam— easy pickings for a few devotees against an apathetic society. The West deserves what it gets.

Sorry you are right...Friday. As your your other bull crap sentence. Do you eat at the Naval Academy Club? I do everyday so don’t start lying about them having other offerings. I was very careful to say buffet. You can order off the menu, but if you want the buffet, eat the dang fish.
There are only a couple of Firehouse Subs in all of California, but it seems more are coming. The best place to get a sub around here is at Claro’s Italian Delicatessen in La Habra.
Your comparison to fish during Lent is the bull crap.
The moslems are demanding that Subway-UK offer neither ham nor bacon and that the food they do offer be prayed over. BIG difference from having the choice of bacon or ham or neither, BIG difference from having their prayer over your food.

I haven’t been in a subway in years but I might try firehouse. I had never heard of them until your post and it turns out there is one in my small city of less than 100K.
A private company can do as it pleases especially if it brings in more money for them. I say bravo to the company. I am sick and tired to the freedom of companies being taken away.
