John Wayne Movie Marathon on TCM Monday Night Through Early Saturday

Now through early Saturday morning it is nothing but John Wayne movies on Turner Classic Movies.

So many good ones...but “The Quiet Man” is still my favorite.

“She Wore a Yellow Ribbon”, one of my top ten movies. I own the colorized version, but actually prefer the BW version. I believe Turner was who colorized it..

Sent the link to my dad. He is 79 and loves john Wayne. Also as bad as my kids keeping us up to date with his life via his iPhone.

“The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance” is on the schedule, although that was more Jimmy Stewart’s movie, and Lee Marvin who stole the show as Liberty.

They showting the Big Trial later on tonight for pre code they showing Barbara Stanwick pre code classic Babyface where Barbs “seduce” John in the movie

“Red River” is my favorite and also John Wayne’s favorite, at least that is what I have read.

“Liberty Valance” is my next favorite.

A few years ago, my son burned what I think is every “Duke” movie onto DVDs and gave it to me for my birthday. I’ve always loved John Wayne movies. I can’t even begin to pick a favourite. Well, maybe The Horse Soldiers or The Cowboys, I really liked seeing the Duke work with those young kids.
