ABC/Yahoo ^ | Easter Sunday, 2014 | Mary Alice Parks

Posted on 04/20/2014 1:50:33 PM PDT by SoFloFreeper

Despite major changes in public opinion in recent years, Rev. Franklin Graham, son of perhaps the most famous American preacher of all time, Billy Graham, reiterated his strong opposition to gay marriage and gay adoption today on ABC's "This Week."

As a part of a special Easter week discussion on religion, Graham told ABC News' Martha Raddatz that gays could go to heaven if they repent.

Me too! I am an Evangelical. But then I saw the the 5 beliefs of a fundamentalist:

1. Biblical inspiration and the inerrancy of scripture as a result of this
2. Virgin birth of Jesus
3. Belief that Christ's death was the atonement for sin
4. Bodily resurrection of Jesus
5. Historical reality of the miracles of Jesus

I believe all of them, so I reckon that makes me a Fundamentalist Evangelical?

I’m proudly out of touch. “Touch not the unclean thing” and all that.

Gay marriage is not a sin, sodomy is.

There's no such thing as marriage between two people of the same gender.

Consider it an honor to be out of touch with this vile culture we live in! Christ is counter culture!

I like how C. S. Lewis views it: Jesus and his followers are fighters in enemy-occupied territory.

“’This Week’ Panel: Are Evangelicals Out of Touch With Mainstream Views?”

No...they are out of touch with their Creator and me. Just making sure we keep things in perspective here.

DennisR, it seems that you prefer a nonbiblical approach to Christianity?

The only proper sexual relationship is between a husband and a wife that could result in having a baby.

So if a wife has a hysterectomy and cannot conceive she and her husband can no longer have sex because it would be a sin?

Everything else is a sin. Including contraception, oral and masturbation.

Not really.

Why are you trying to muddy the waters? The subject is homosexuality.

ABC Loves Sodomy

We need to write letters, comments to websites, and tweets, that openly discuss all the disgusting things that the rump rangers do to each other and our kids.

We need to openly ask why the RATs, the government schools and the state-run media, support this extremely unhealthy and destructive practice.

We need to start listing off all the life threatening STDs they carry just to enjoy the queer deathstyle.

We need to be prepared to rattle off all of the above filthy facts whenever accused of being "out of touch with mainstream views" and demand they defend them.

They are the ones out of touch and they deserve to be exposed for it.

Modernity is overrated. Primarily because human nature hasn’t really changed that much over the last two thousand years.

Exactly. Chronological chauvinism is the name for it, the idea that our ancestors couldn’t have understood much, lacking our many obvious advantages!

Why do they insist that sodomy is normal? They’re lucky it’s not still illegal.
