Nevada politicians fan the flames of Bundy-BLM clash
Las Vegas Review Journal ^ | April 19, 2014 | By Laura Myers

By the time Gov. Brian Sandoval criticized the Bureau of Land Management for creating an “atmosphere of intimidation” while rounding up Cliven Bundy’s cattle, the militias were already on their way to Bunkerville, ground zero for what turned into an armed confrontation between gun-toting citizens and federal officers.

As governor, Sandoval had every right to weigh in and try to tamp down BLM’s tactics. It worked. Under political pressure and the threat of violence, the agency shut down the weeklong roundup April 12 and released several hundred “trespass cattle” that had roamed the federal public land for 20 years while Bundy refused to pay $1 million in BLM grazing fees.

“No cow justifies the atmosphere of intimidation which currently exists nor the limitation of constitutional rights that are sacred to all Nevadans,” Sandoval said in an April 8 statement in which he called on the BLM to take down designated “First Amendment” areas set aside for American flag-carrying demonstrators who were backing Bundy. “The BLM needs to reconsider its approach to this matter and act accordingly,” the Republican added.

Sandoval was just one of more than a dozen politicians and candidates from Nevada and neighboring states who publicly denounced the BLM, although views were sharply divided on whether the agency, backed by court orders, had the legal right to remove Bundy’s cattle from land his family maintains it has been on since the 1870s.

Each time a public official or political candidate spoke out for or against the BLM or Bundy, the comments added fuel to an already hot-burning fire that quickly turned into a national inferno, pitting the romantic image of the cowboy rancher against the behemoth federal government that owns 85 percent of the Silver State.

It’s a confluence of many issues that has come to a head in Nevada. One is the Feds with their overreaching bureaucratic rules that should be re-visited and many of them should be expunged.

Which should be expunged? The regulations or the feds?

Quick question - if I trespass on a neighbor’s land.....does he

a) Call the sheriff
b) Form his own army to intimidate me?

Even if Bundy had lost in the courts, I fail to understand why the feds get to enforce the court order.....and ad lib by murdering cattle, etc.

I don’t understand state, county and local officials not defending the right of their citizens to graze that land. We used to be a nation of state’s rights for anything not specifically in the Constitution.

if our Federal LEO’s get pulled into Reid’s corruption as minions of his bidding they shall lose all respect of this entire nation . Instead of setting up ‘ a taskforce’ to hassle the ranchers , they should set up a taskforce to look at Harry Reid’s blatant corruption and malfeasance in office . THAT would be serving the people . Think , LEO’s , think . Don’t be deceitfully used .

On this Easter Sunday, may God be with the brave American patriots with Bundy, and against Harry Reid's Domestic Terrorists, the Badges with automatic weapons.

I noticed Heller is calling for hearings. Reid is not.
Is Reid hiding something? Something he does not want exposed
by hearings?

Me thinks so.

Ventura County Tea Party blogs are reporting that

Here we go again-help needed at Bundy Ranch- NOW!
April 19, 2014
http://venturacountyteaparty.ning.com/profiles/blogs/here-we-go-again-help-need-at-bundy-ranch-now

Folks,

Below is a message I received from Sue DeLemus a bit earlier today. I wasn't at home so I didn't get to access it until now. It is critical that you read every word of this message and then react. It looks like the Feds are building up for a raid on the Bundy Ranch and we have four brave Americans in the group that is defending the ranch. Three of these men are prior Marines so I am asking all you Marines out there to get involved. The same goies for Army, Navy, Airforce and Coast Guard Vets. WE need Oathkeepers and III %ers, as well. In face, we need every able bodied person who can show up in Nevada, to do so ASAP. This includes regular Americans who would be willing to go and have their eyes and cameras on the Feds. We also need fully equipped Patriots to get there quickly. We can stop this tyranny if 4,000 - 5,000 people show up but you have to act quickly. This is an early Operation American Spring. If we can't react to this event in large numbers then I can assure you that Operation American Spring will be in jeopardy. So, please spread the word to your entire list and get back to me if you have the ability to fly out there or would be willing to team up with others and drive. Time is of the essence.

Sincerely,

Jack Kimball

Hi Everyone,

Apparently some people are having trouble viewing my Facebook page and one person suggested that Facebook may be trying to block my site. Is anyone familiar with this happening and what I can do about it? In the meantime I need you to post and share this update for me so people will know what's going on

UPDATE!!!
I'm talking with Jerry right now. (At about 10:30 EST) He said that a Law Enforcement Officer told him last night that Federal agents are being moved into Las Vegas. The Officer claimed that there were about 140 agents in the city. Recon sent in by Jerry found that there are more agents than can be counted! The hotels are being filled with Federal Agents, Rangers and FBI arriving in unmarked vehicles. Most of the vehicles are white, some are black. They are being parked in secure areas and are under lock and key and some are in back parking as well. So no one can nosing around. Never mind those who may be flying in. They're obviously building up for something. Three guesses what they could be up to. More Patriots are needed out there. Rotation is indeed in place. The Patriots who are there need all the help they can get in every way possible. It's still very serious out there. Las Vegas is 80 miles away from the Bundy property. So maybe an hour a half away. NOT FAR!! If you're planning to answer to the call, gear up and bring food. They're running a little low right now and Pray, Pray, Pray. Please share this one like mad!!!

Yours Truly,
Sue D.

Lets go with the obvious. Grazing fees. The government does not plant, water, or provide the light to grow desert shrubs that cows eat. The shrubs naturally regrow on their own over the century despite being on the cattle menu. And if an area does get over eaten, the area or field goes into natural fallow, which the desert shrubs will eventually recover without any federal government intervention.

So what we have here is a government that has little overhead cost, but gain financially with very little effort. A financial windfall and money maker for government bureaucrats, an easy way to fleece cattlemen, to spend as they want. Does the fees go into an “AlGore lock-box?” I doubt that LoL. Have you seen the price of steaks lately? It’s better to return those fees to the tax payers at the grocery store.

As an immigrant myself, it is a beautiful example of why we are permitted to ‘bear arms.’ I do not believe for one minute that the BLM would have backed down without the armed resistance.

I posted a short while back that I don’t feel these people need to pay grazing fees. They provide us with food to eat.

Well, at least for the recipients of EBT cards anyway. Most of us hardly remember the taste of a steak. But then, this is what happens when the food producers are regulated and hassled by government. They wish us to die and they are in the process of setting this scenario up in many different ways.

At the very least, I hope we fight back.

Fanning the Flames is EXACTLY what was necessary!

It has started the conversation as to the Constitutional role these federal agencies play, in these situations.

Hopefully it is the beginning of the end for the expansion of federal usurpation of State authority.

Wait until the feds show up at the Red River between Oklahoma and Texas border and try to take Texas land.
