yeah..
"Did you really think we want those laws observed?" said Dr. Ferris. "We want them to be broken. You'd better get it straight that it's not a bunch of boy scouts you're up against... We're after power and we mean it... There's no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What's there in that for anyone? But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced or objectively interpreted – and you create a nation of law-breakers – and then you cash in on guilt. Now that's the system, Mr. Reardon, that's the game, and once you understand it, you'll be much easier to deal with.”― Ayn Rand, Atlas Shrugged, 1957

The notion of constant noncompliance:

““Do you really think we want those laws observed?” Said Dr. Ferris. We want them broken. You better get it straight that it’s not a bunch of boy scouts you’re up against - then you’ll know this is not the age for beautiful gestures. We’re after power and we mean it. You fellows were pikers, but we know the real trick and you’d better get wise to it. There’s no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren’t enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What’s there in that for anyone? But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced nor objectively interpreted and you create a nation of law-breakers - and then you cash in on guilt. Now, that’s the system Mr. Reardon, that’s the game, and once you understand it, you’ll be much easier to deal with.”

I understand.

I have my theory as to why Rush was able to wake up Americans enough to take the House for the first time in literally 6o years, and also why we eventually lost back the advantage we had.

Not all of it has to do with Bush’s liberal social moves, nor his inability to fight back, and the unexcitable way this guy speaks has a lot to do with it.

Follow me, it makes more sense than you think.

When Rush came on the scene nationally, all the local markets wanted to up get a local guy to help their ratings on Am radio also. For the first time in flyover country, Americans were hearing the truth on a national, level, and on the local level.

In the town I live in Chico Ca. for the first time ever, the conservatives took control of the city council. We are talking a bout a town that passed a resolution that banned nuclear weapons in its area. back in the latec”70”s the federal government, under carter, removed four nukes from silos outside of town because of it. that is how liberal Chico is. The county is more conservative, but not the town.

The difference was Bruce sessions, a local talk show guy who rallied the local conservatives to what was going on locally, just as Rush did nationally. Bruce came on at noon right after Rush. He was on the radio for about 6 years.

Then the local radio stations realized that they could bring in a syndicated talker off satellite who talked national news, than it was to pay a local guy who was limited to the area locally. So now, instead of Bruce talking of local politics to keep the locals on top of things, we now had Sean Hannity, Micheal Medved, Michael savage, we even had Michel Reagan for awhile, and others who all talked about national politics.

Thus, in town after town, and community after community across America in flyover country, and even in some mid sized cities, the locals went back to sleep and stopped getting involved.

The year after Bruce was replaced the conservatives lost the city of Chico Council back to the liberals and we have not had it since. I understand that not all people are rush, and there are local radio stations that have real good talkers who keep large audiences, and they are still on the air. Well many are, but even some of them have been replaced by talkers who grab a larger share of the audience.

Sadly, we lost all across America, and Obama along with the Democrats taking the House and Senate are a ,large part of that. I do agree that bush did not help, because he refused to fight the enemies here in America. After all, the advertising dollars are going to follow the one who get huge audiences.

So here we are 20 years after the revolution Rush led, dieing a slow death all across America in places like Chico and other midsize cities that are much bigger.

I like this guy’s knowledge, but I bet you that he gets less than half the listeners today as they do with someone like Mark Stien (sp?) filling in. So what good is his touching on topics Rush may miss if the audience isn’t there because of his delivery.

I hope this made sense.

I’m over at John Gambling. He hasn’t yet found his way in the afternoon. He’ll eventually hit his stride.

Fox News reported 3 days back that the BLM hired a Utah Cowboy [=Rustler, IMHO ] and he was paid > $900,000 to invade, roundup, steal and transport the bulk of Bundy’s cattle to Utah to be sold at auction.

Fox News also reported that the BLM paid >$300,000 to a Utah auctioneer to auction off Bundy’s Cattle, in Utah.

All paid for and/or charged to YOU, the ultimate sucker taxpayer!

_______________

So many names apply to very late stage senility patient Harry Reid, and his hired guns:

Reid’s Rustlers
Reid’s Cattle Rustlers
Feudal Lord Reid’s Raiders.

Feudal Lord Reid of the Bureau of Feudal Land Management wants to make Nevada his personal Fief!

Holder had his glory days with “Fast and Furious” and escaped with an Exec. Order from his Chicago ‘Hood pal, Barry Soetoro.

Now “Kill the last cows in the Country” Reid wants his 15 minutes of Glory.

Will the cowardly doormat Republican Leadership in the US House even consider holding Reid accountable for the taxpayer-funded slaughter of Nevada Rancher Bundy’s cattle?

Neighboring Arizona US Senator “Wacko Bird” McCain has not yet thrown his full moral weight of approval to Senate Classmate Reid, but it could happen any day now.

Shouldn’t the ACLU, or PETA have a “beef” with the taxpayer-paid slaughter of Rancher Bundy’s personal Cattle?

Or will Feudal Lord Reid and his hired Rustlers get bailed out by another Executive Order from the infamous pen of “You Lie” Obama?

Feudal Lord Reid and “You Lie” Obama, a dastardly duo on the Democrat dung heap of History!

MOOOOOOOOOOVE………. FORWARD !

I do understand and I understand that local guy may be knowledgeable but not charismatic and the public is fickle and short sighted.

Here in Tx we have Micheal Berry.

True, but the locals have always needed a cheerleader to care. From the beginning of time it has been so. Look at the book of Judges how it took cheerleaders to step up to get them fired up.
